The vehicle preview should have penetration statistics for ammo

So, in vehicle preview we have the armour and module view mode, which is very helpful, but its usefulness is reduced by lack of penetration statistics for ammunitions. Because what do I have from knowing how thick is armour on the side of a T-34 if I don’t know how much can my tank penetrate. Currently, the only way to know that is to visit the War Thunder wiki or Enlisted Resource, but not everyone knows about these.

So I propose to add a simple table over or under armour value that would look something like this:

Ammo 1 Penetration at 10m Penetration at 100m Penetration at 200m Ricochet angle Ammo count
Ammo 2 Penetration at 10m Penetration at 100m Penetration at 200m Ricochet angle Ammo count
etc, etc.

Of course, it’s just an example, official one could look different, the only thing that matters is to have something like this. It would allow newer players to know instantly where to aim without having to leave the game or go through trial and error at Training Grounds or in battle.

As a sidenote, the Panzer IV’s in Moscow with the short 75 should have the HEAT rounds instead of smokes to put some fear into the T-50 and T-34. Just those 8(?) would be enough.

Post penetration dmg would be nice as well.

Frankly, it should have penetration simulation preview like WT has, but baby steps, they will get there someday.

I don’t share your optimism today. I think the incomplete statistics are completely intentional.

But maybe I am just paranoid.

I don’t see a point in having hidden statistics, especially concerning tanks, as they use similar (if not the same) damage model as WT, and if you have it, you can easily check in there, making secrecy really pointless.

Right now we have to get our information in really roundabout way, making life harder for no gain, especially for casuals as they probably don’t play both of them.

It’s a quality of life improvement that should be somewhat easy to implement, you have the whole thing already working, just port it over.

They’re not even well hidden thanks to vault cat. We just can’t have them officially for whatever reason lmao.
