So, the squad 44 playtest for the Pacific happened a few days ago. And I was impressed with everything that game had specially the uniform of the Japanese army. The only place where enlisted can bring some improvement for Japan is by giving them some more options for their uniforms. Preferably more historically accurate ones. Do anyone who plays Japan think Japan needs more uniform variations?
Agreed .
Hai!
unironically, the japanese customiation is one of the best.
-
what you get, is gonna remain
-
literally only 1 preset
-
less expensive compared to other factions
but… on the other coin,
-
less choice when it comes to pants & torso as those are " sets ".
-
bad choices and mismatching sets
opposed as the other factions that, as benefits only has:
- choices for all slots
but:
-
does not carry over
-
still needs to buy the same item over the same squad and soldier for different campaigns
-
faces do not carry over
( kinda minor, and somewhat related to the previous point, but still “funny” to think about. these guy make a face swap among campaigns lol ) -
lack of options in general ( unless it’s ussr / sg customization )
-
miss matching sets or lacking other pieces to match.
with that being said, yes. tan uniforms should be a must.
and as well as bushy helmets. ( only helmets though ) and paratrooper sets for non paratrooper units like the western allies can do. ( since we already have the helmet. )
That’s the saddest thing. I still couldn’t move on from those field caps. Because they are way too large. Flaps are also way too big. Those caps makes me cry.
Most definitely would love some more variation and options. Seperate leg options and gloves would be nice
Gloves were something distinctively used by the Japanese army during the war. The reason I started this discussion because of squad 44’s new Pacific front. The Japanese uniforms in that game is one the best I have ever seen in a video game.
It must be Enlisted’s color palette they use for the game. At least uniforms have this very different look of what I’d imagine. Take Germany for example with their grey blue uniforms. I’m not an expert about it, but that doesn’t look very “feldgrau” at all. Or maybe in my mind I’m just used to how they look like in the movies, idk
I’ve examples of feldgrau variations, and I know their consistency and quality of the uniforms changed during the war, thus affecting the color. But still, that’s not how I picture feldgrau to look like.
I think for some reason darkflow refuses to use the proper colours.
