The squad limit change would be terrible from f2p

In the current version of enlisted you can already earn 3+ squad of the same class and cycle them to forever. This meant that even a f2p player could spam assaulter 24/7 and was not directly disadvantaged to a whale doing the same thing (mostly).
But with change the same is no longer possible as the f2p needs another squad to fill the gap with something else and the whale just uses anothere premium squad instead to keep the momentum alive. So that is why the DF reasoning of defending new players does not make sense.

Why do you need to defend whales from F2P players like that?
This is just enhancing the P2W effect of slots and I personaly cant say defend this P2W crap anymore even if i tried to.

At first this I thought this might be a good change for once as tank cycling was a bit stupid (and problematic as teammates have no choice to play tanks). So at first I was happy about this change.
But as soon as I read that premium squads will bypass this rule I was just dissappointed as tank cycling will be back regardless of the change (and even easier to create a lineup with the merge).

So please remove the premium squad exemption or scrap the change entirely but this is unacceptable and just greedy as you create a new problem only to already sell the solution to it AKA premium squads.

Edit: The squad limit would only hinder their praised “diversity” as why should I run a suboptimal niche squads like my Flakpanzer or flame tank if they take up the slot of my mainline tanks etc.
This is such a downgrade for event squads as suboptimal squads now taint you line ups and are even a burden on the rest of the army.

Even I have bought squad slots on certain campaigns, I do find this change unacceptable like F2P players used to do same tactics with triple assaulter spam at the expense on not having the flexibility as one who bought squad slots had.

It doesn’t even protect the new players but instead an attempt to encourage players to buy premium squads.

I want to launch a protest! As they wish, I will use various teams in the future: snipers, mortars, machine guns and anti-tank guns.Since developers don’t like to keep me on the front line, I’ll stay behind.Because I hate constantly switching between two fighting styles!

personally i dont see a problem. i am constantly on the top of the leaderboard and i am not running 3 assaulters… i am not even running 2 assaulters… diversity is the key for victory and not just number of smg/AR in your squad.

I’m basically a F2P. I only have 4 slots and only use one of any particular squad type in my lineup. I do have some Premium squads but even I don’t use them all the time

And I don’t think there’s anything wrong. If anything it should be encouraged that people take varied slots instead of running the same thing

In fact I would say this shows that people feel compelled to spam

Squad limits are great, the fact that premiums are exempt from them is not. If you have the Normandy paratroopers or Tunisia flamers, you can still cycle squads and circumvent the exact problem squad limits are supposed to fix.

Therefore, premiums should not be exempt from squad limits. But aside from that big concern, they are great for the long term future and playability of the game.

They want make whales happy by forcing f2p players to hop into their tanks/planes (even if they hate playing as them) and to become a food for those players. It’s like half of their changes was about making premium players even more powerful.
Squad Carousel with premium squad, we are going to remove AR engineers but keep them for premium squads))))), you can also whale on gold order weapons and give 3-5 of them to engineers that just lost AR. Yeah amazing changes that will totally fix the game.

I’d say remove the restrictions of squad cycling.
F2P players get 3 of each squad eventually anyways. Most players with extra squads from pre merge have rank 1, 2 and 3 somewhere anyways so would have been able to run 3 of 1 squad already with or without the excess squads. I don’t see how “new players” are negatively affected more after the merge than before. Thats like saying “new players have unlocked less, it’s unfair”. Well duh, it’s a grindy game, you need to unlock stuff…like multiple squads of the same type.

Because tank/aircraft take up a spawn slot for the team just add a restriction of where you spawn in next so everyone can have a go at a vehicle.

“i am constantly on the top of the leaderboard” that is not a good argument, because you are using 1 especific case (in this case yourself) like if that means something when it dosent. just becuase you can dosent mean the rest can

“diversity is the key for victory and not just number of smg/AR in your squad.” while that is true why should players feel force to play in a style they dont want? if a player want to play full sniper they should have the chance instead of being force to pay $60 for 1 or more sniper squad so they can have fun. the squad type limit can be even a problem because some player will suicide 1 squad just to play with what they want and that will have a negative impact in his own team

Yeah, the cycling restrictions will lead to more suicides for sure. Hadn’t even thought of that.
Better get rid of it.

They should restrict it further to just 1 Squad per specialty, and also impose it on Premium squads of the same specialty

Oh, its gonna be terrible combined with the paratrooper spam.

Right now, the allies/axis have 2 event paratroopers and 1 Prem paratrooper, that right there are already 3 paratroopers in a match after the merge. And i bet, that the devs will add more paratroopers to research and buy.

You already need only 3 players with paras to secure massive amount of ground for the following teammates and with the flexibility, only one player need to take the engi kit and start building while the other 2 are fighting the enemy players with Flamethrowers and LMGs, even AT weapons in case of fast tanks.

As a F2p player, how do you deal with this? When you manage to kill one parasquad, the next one is already in the air and aiming to land behind your lines. I would like to use AA guns, but they are of course shitty so wouldn’t really count on it. And who has time to build AA guns when they are rushing forward to stop the enemy team?

Post merge will make this even worst, It will be a team of two paratroopers followed by a flametrooper, And a tank/plane for those “Just in case” moments.

But even then Paratroopers can switch class depending on what they need when they land, Jumbo on the run? AT.

need to rush a point? flametrooper/assulter (OR NON looking at you allied paratrooper in norm)

so on and so on.

They completely killed usability of AA guns at the same time when they released p2w op paratrooper squads, they knew what they were doing all of that was motivated by money, it also includes recent blogpost changes that only rewards whales and punishes f2p players even more.

The developers should give every player the freedom to play the squads they want. If you want to play 4 Assaulters, then so be it. But pushing players into a corner with limitations will only take away their enjoyment of the game. As if there weren’t already enough limitations in the game…

They fail to see that you can have multiple squqds of the same type but not necessarily run them all.
Maybe you want 3 infantry squads and 3 assault squads in your 6 slot line up but switch between them all.

Yes and no.

I wouldnt limit the deck. You can bring as many of the same squad type as you like (and arm them slightly Differently)

But inside the match, you can only spawn the “squad type” ONCE in 3 spawns. (the mechanic that is already there from a squad you lost)

To work though You would need a base squad that doesnt get locked to prevent infinite lock. (cos no doubt people will just bring all the same thing, which judging by the feedback they clearly do)…Although you wouldnt need this if you had the limit on the deck aswell…

that way you can bring whatever you want, But will have the same spawn rules as everyone else, premium or not
