The Snail is Cooking šŸŒ

I was just browsing through Steam and saw this. As if the current Halloween event was not enough we have got a new PvP game published by the :snail: incoming.

Though it is being developed by a different dev team the soldier models do remind me a lot of the Modern Warfare event. Very much excited to try this one as and when it comes out.

(P.S. Just look at this picture with that hand in the background. Hard to say there is no coincidence between the Halloween demons and this.)

Yeah. I know that. But the fact that we got the Halloween event and the announcement for this game at the same time is really wild. Hope it turns out to be a great game.

I see. Enlisted is finally being flushed down the toilet. We can leave here. Personally, I wonā€™t give money here anymore.

It looks like a multiplayer version of STALKER. It may be interesting if it has bots, but if its just another Tarkov clone with no bots then yawn I will stick to Enlisted.

Basically tarkov with monster

it looks very different though.
it was sci fi. this one is moreā€¦ modern-ish

anyway, as for the title.

itā€™s kinda funny that they are still going for an oversaturated market.

like, havenā€™t we have done enough with pvps?

whatā€™s wrong with pves?

Enlisted is NOT being forgotten or anything remotely like this - itā€™s made by a different team at Gaijin.

Creating a good PVE game requires a good AI system as a backbone, and well we know how that goesā€¦itā€™s easier for devs to produce a mediocre AI system and cover it up with PVP so that players are distracted by the PVP and the game will just become another PVP with a sprinkle of ā€œPVE elementsā€ so they can check the box and say that ā€œIt does have PVE, look you can shoot monsters/mercenaries/zombies.ā€ All the while you are shooting the monsters and attracting the whales and lifers to your position and then you get stomped for your loot and lose everything you came into the match with and everything you worked for during the match.

Personally I never saw the appeal of extraction shooter or mil SIM Battle royal, donā€™t mind how good you play at those game, you are going always killed by that guy who camped in that hut without doing nothing for 45 minutes except kill youā€¦

i donā€™t think you need that.

enlisted ai isā€¦ somewhat good enough for pves.

just killing enemies and having fun. i guess.

reduce the xp gain by half and you have your self a pve.

perhaps tank ai and ai airplanes should be a thing, butā€¦ idk. maybe itā€™s just me.
( by a thing, i mean improve the ai tanks, since are a thing. and make, a thing ai airplanes. )

This may explain why our updates are so slow. Gaijin could snatch/steal/borrow a couple of key DF devs and we are left only with a couple of interns that have no clue what they are doing.

GJ really starts to shit out games like Ubisoft while basically all of their games other than War Thunder is played by no one less than a week after their release.
And especially shooters, which sorry to say was never a good quality trait of the snail.

Very true, Enlisted has an AI system that is serviceable right now. At first glance you donā€™t really know how bad your AI squad mates are until you sit and watch their movements or play a couple games with them. Thatā€™s when you start to pick up on things they do that just donā€™t seem right. That being said though the AI system currently is really only a few tweaks away from being a great system that is engaging for long term players and immersive enough to bring in new players. DF just has to pull the trigger on making those adjustments, but with this new game I donā€™t think we are going to see anything like that happening for a long time
