When I select only the RU server, I still get matched to the US server, resulting in massive latency and packet loss. It’s only when my shots get lost in the lag and my movement becomes choppy that I realize what’s happening.
This issue is particularly severe in the morning, where nearly half of the game matches connect to the US server, and the matchmaking process takes an extremely long time.
I suspect there’s a major problem with the current matchmaking system in the game. It seems like the system requires a certain number of players in each match before it can start. If that number isn’t met, it keeps waiting on the matchmaking screen and may even connect to a server with extremely high latency.
This completely goes against the basic principles of game design. Any matchmaking system should prioritize matchmaking time and latency, especially considering how poor the lag compensation is in this game. When the latency is too high, high-rate-of-fire weapons suffer from severe bullet disappearance issues.
When there aren’t enough players, the system should fill the match with AI instead of sending players to servers with high latency. This completely ruins the gaming experience. The matchmaking system is unbelievably flawed.
Some people on your forums are even calling for a deserter penalty. Honestly, you should see how bad the game is right now. I hope these trolls experience matches with 300 ping and a 40% packet loss rate every time, so they can truly feel the frustration in this mess.
Well as a fellow gamer from the opposite side of the world in Australia, let me assure you that 200-250 ping is a good day for us on NA servers and worse on EU.
We accept the commercial reality that most games can’t afford local servers in AU… we equally accept reality of distances vis a vis packet loss, the laws of physics for the overall latency, and get on with it, enjoying Enlisted, and any other game hosted overseas for what it is.
Perhaps its time for you to take a sip from that concrete filled cup and harden the !#$^ up.
I’m absolutely certain I was matched to a US server because none of the players in the match had Russian or Chinese IDs, and there were a lot of controller players, which are common on North American servers. I also experienced 250-300ms ping and packet loss.
you could have easily been on EEU server and those players you have seen could have had any server selected or they were bots.
to actually confirm country, you would need python 3.x installed on your computer, clog decrypter downloaded from the net and then you would need to actually decrypt clog from the game.
to decrypt simply open cmd, navigate to where you downloaded clog decrypter and write
