The reserve size need to be based on numbers of squads in the future

im campaign lv29 now, 22 non-premium squads unlocked. the end-game work right now must be training better soilders and upgrade guns etc. while my bronze soldier order has already 70+ and keep growing. and this is not a difficult caculation that the order get faster than soldier leveling.

  1. the reserve with premium is 232 right now, this becomes too small when the order have 22 random squads to roll.
  2. In normandy, there are 3 sniper squads, 4 plane squads. 1/3 soldier orders will roll these two classes.
  3. have to delete soldier one by one, no batch processing function, no filter.
  4. only one mortar and two flamer squads, mortar and flamer cannot join other squads so there will be only 2 slots for mortar, 4 slots for flamer in one game to farm exp.
  5. cross-squads training in academy need training order to specific the result. the orders were limited to get, and not efficient for low rank mixing. Yep i can leave it totally random and i will get mooore snipers and pilots then…

the reserve size need a growing progression, not a simple +100 premium. its not enough in the future.

i have to say thank u to the developers, they didnt add weapon reserve size as well.

I am running into this issue as well, however you can just use those extra orders that you are getting on other campaigns and teams. so if you have lvl 29 allies you can just start slowly working on axis if you have excess.

Reserve size already slightly scales off of number of squads because each squad gives +2 to the size of your reserve from upgrades. My reserve is 238.

You can get reserve size +4 for each unit, but it’s ridiculous because to get 5 stars troops , you need a lot more than 4 1-2-3-4 stars troops. So the more you add new units like flamethrower tier 2, the worse it gets for f2p players.
F2p are already punished all the time with number of squads, with xp and bonds. Looking at tech three, you can see it’s mostly filler grind levels, that’s not satisfactory.
Being in a béta state is no excuse, i’m pretty sure players are already running away, you are killing your game before it’s even out. Too much greed will get enlisted to the long list of f2p graveyard, Beware!!!

Also no comment on your ridiculous tier 2-3 units with no possibility to have sniper 1 becoming sniper 3, unlocking flamethrower 2 is pretty much starting the grind all over again, respect your players and their time , too much frustration for greed .

its a good way to use orders indeed, but my platoon members is still leveling so its impossible to change sides. also lv5 soldier need a looong time to make right now, the campaign level 29 is actually just a beginning… had made only 8-9 lv5 soldier already.

also i didnt mention the training time, even i leveling solder fast the training time is barely affordable with premium. it seems terrible for f2p players.

every invasion game i got at least 100+ kills then i could make at least 10 lv2 soldier and some lv3 soldier in 30 minutes, and i need at least 3h to train them even wtih premium.

how? setting a timer every 1h or 2h, playing this game like a mobile game…

actually i paid many gold to skip them, its ok, but maybe my friends and many f2p players will not like it… :disappointed_relieved:

it is so strange if i play better and more in end-game, the game make more stress to my training, it forced me to stop playing so training can chase the speed of getting exp and soldiers.

it will be great appreciated that developers improve the end-game soldier training balance or system, instead of forcing players to change sides, the game is not over yet

And that’s exactly why the timers will stay.

as i said timer is not a big deal, but the system lack management or progression. u know, even most greedy mobile game designers will give some free purchased items from daily or weekly missions.
strict people with only one academy training slot is bad for new players or f2p friends.
Im willing to buy extra training slots, while give some free stuff to daily or weekly active players (free training acceleration, free training order to choose soldider back etc. ).
timers will stay well, but reserve slots limit the whole system from encourage even paid players to spend time play games. thats strange.

It is, unfortunately, not strange at all knowing Gaijin’s business model.
Even if you pay, even if you pay a lot, there’s simply just NEVER a point where you can say “I’ve paid enough, it’s all downhill from here on”. They make sure there’s ALWAYS some frustrating aspect in some form or another, that you CAN’T ever get rid of for good, just mitigate at best.

I bought additional squad slots and never bought premium account again. I have something around 130 reserve slots. It barely ever fills. Fill the squads you don’t use with troops to get them out of reserve, put as many as you can into academy, send to rear every rank 1 1-star/2-star soldier. Also if you are a decent human being, you might send every mortar trooper to rear as well (to make the world a better place).

Never noticed this, but if it really is a problem, they should balance the numbers some more.

100% +1. Let me select more troops to delete, let me filter by rank or class.

I mean, if you play these squads, it should be more then enough to level the soldiers up effectively (I have 3 gunners in my whole setup and I have to buy more for silver orders with how fast I level them up). If you don’t play these squads, just delete these soldiers. There will be coming ranks 2 for them anyway, no need to keep them in the reserve.

+1, training orders should be more obtainable.

With every squad, you get room to put soldiers in. Not to mention in the upgrade menu, you are directly upgrading the reserve size?? Isn’t that exactly what you are asking for?
