nah, you just found blue enemies is all

i did 25 games, almost ALL of them were like this.

i really dont think this side in this campaigns actually has a playerbase

it doesn’t since there are 5 germany campaigns with the addition of stalingrad not really having anything unique equipment outside of 4 vehicles

as i was saying, without players is just impossible to win.

Its not a weapon issue, its a playerbase issue. Axis used to be decent population on Stalingrad. However since the event, there are next to no Axis players online right now, it was a miracle that I had anyone at all the other day when I played.

Just give it time and the population will potentially go back to nominal levels across all campaigns.

This campaign was a mistake.
The maps should be integrated to Berlin or something.
And we call it “The late East Front”. Moscow will be “The Early east Front”.

nah it will not happen any time soon, and surely not without any new levels.

either way i dont really care i will not be here for long anyway

It will thought.

It does that every events granting a new toy, or with any new updates with content. So rn, Normandy axis is steamrolling, and yet allies equipment isn’t worse: Axis just got a shiny new squad. Same thing in Tunisia, don’t play axis yet, allies got the SAS and is full of players.

It always change with playerbase. Just wait till Stalingrad finally gets maps it deserves, like Traktor factory, Pavlov, silo… It will be full then.

I get maybe 25-30% wins as axis in Stalingrad - certainly most games are losses, but I shall try to avoid whatever time you are online because I don’t want 0% wins!

How are You guys still on playerbase issue hopium, at this point You have to realize it’s caused by some mystery issue.

But yeah nah, game is perfect, stalingrad is flawless, it’s just thos nasty playerbases that decide: haha f&ck stalingrad axis today, have fun losing anyone playing here.

There is no MM, just a MF. So if there are only so many people on the Axis side and 3 times as many on the Soviet side, the game gives zero #$%& about that and puts them all in a game.

I never said it was flawless, but a lot of what was done on it was well implemented.
Bolts are deadly. Semis have their former glory, and you can’t BH with an MG and destroy a room.
All things that have progressed the game better.

Until such a time as they get an MM that has some Sanity, matches like the one posted above will be a reality.

So yes, right now it’s a playerbase issue. Not enough people on either side.

Where as Normandy right now is Hopping. Almost all my matches are with full player squads on each side. Its wild.

there is no mystery issue - there is just no match making, so who wants to play what at any given time of day around the world pretty much sets up which side will win.

The only mystery is how come there are so many morons try to make it more than that.

Well yea, unfortunately for you, the German Stalingrad period ( kinda like Normandy and Berlin ( are and were ) at some point ) finished shortly after that event, and the same reason is, because of that event, many finished playing as German and now plays Russia ( as there were no Russian players at all back then )

It’s the cruel circle of enlisted.

You either play with someone of competent, or get comfy in seeing that defeat screen for quite a while.

( until players will flood back because they will add tigers in Stalingrad… yikes, mark my words, I’m telling you fellas)

At least the BA are very good here, so you can easily kill guy with the high-level soviet weapon and take it.
Although it’s still not much fun.

How dare you spoil a nice, flourishing conspiracy story with sour, barren sense?

What i meant was there are reason, or issues, that cause this whole playerbase issue.
And MM while good would not fix them.

Some of them are:

-if campaign is already tilted into one side, it brings more players to winning side and not many on losing side keep playing, so it only get worse: see moscow/stalingrad allies

  • 50% more xp for winning side, which only makes issues above better

-there is no map/gamemode veto, join a conquest and see 5 people vanish from game. Best example right now is train on Berlin right now, i don’t know why it’s so much in rotation right now, when i saw over 25, YES TWENTY F@CKING FIVE DESERTERS IN ONE GAME, 17 IN ONE SIDE. Game is made, everyone leaves, game gets more people joining started match, AND THEY STILL LEAVE, beacuse despite making it shorter this gamemode still sucks. I stopped playing Berlin because i’m tired of deserting so many matches.
-i won’t even talk much on disaster called Stalingrad, yeah just keep hoping for magical players to come and populate it in 10 years maybe

So yeah, no issues beside playerbase, surely will fix itself in time, we just have to wait for game to be dead and all matches will be balanced 10v10 bot arenas

I won’t disagree about the map voting system. I’ve advocated since I started playing here.
They need to adopt a similar system to what MWO has and it would make it a much better game overnight.
It was one of the best additions to that game in the time I played it.

As for dessert ions, well your experiences and mine differ, and end of the day are anecdotal because neither of us have hard server data on how often that happens.

I’ve had great success with Berlin and continue to do so, for both sides (I am set to play either faction).

Some people do get on the campaign train and pick what they like. Interestingly enough though if one side has tons of players it tends to bring in the other side right now.

Last night, we were 10vs10 in Normandy for every single match (over a dozen). It was unheard of as Normandy was a ghost town for a while (at least in my region, platform, timezone).

The Axis players were there playing with their new toys and the Allied players were right there to oppose us.
It was glorious.

If we get the population and a MM to at least make each side even in terms of players it will make a lot of difference.
Not a perfect solution but an adequate on.
Couple that with a population counter (like I’ve seen in other successful titles) so we know where players actually are and it will help too, as I’ve seen it and helped work on it with other titles.

Stronger sides is a poor metric. I’ve seen Bad players with good gear get absolutely flattened. And good players with entry level gear dominate. The gear is hardly the issue (again, anecdotal because I have zero access to the metadata) , its the player.

We fix some of the core aspects of this game and it can be made much more enjoyable and successful.
