The ranked system doesn't work the way I imagined it

The new ranked system Gaijin added does not work at all, and not the way I thought it would turn out. I thought this would be a turn around point for enlisted to become more “Competitive” or at least somewhat challenging/fun to fight other player in game. However, the way ranks work, doesn’t determine anything, and it just shows that you spend too much time in battle, typically farming most of the time. The main reason that makes the ranked system so bad, is that you don’t actually get matched/paired up with anyone your skill. You would probably get one other person your skill on your team, and possibly a few on the other team. But, I always find myself carrying the entirety of my team, basically 1vs10 the other team. If Gaijin fixed their ranked system, then Enlisted would be more fun to play, instead of finding yourself being beat up and carrying your entire team. A solution to this for example could be; Private - Sergeant First Class would queue with eachother, Master Sergeant - Major, and Lieutenant Colonel - Marshal. Just my thoughts of recommendation to fixing the ranks to work properly and make more sense.

why would we want this? if you want sweat go play COD or pubg or fortnight or apex

No stay the fuck away from CoD I’m going back to it when MWII drops and i don’t need metafags and sweatlords ruining the experience any more than already happens

Competitive guys are already doing great
Others won’t care, but will annoy competitive guys.

cod is a creatively dead game sure modern war 2 is amazing but every cod past blackops 1 was meh but all the OG 360 cods are good

All the current rank system does is Mark time, the more you play the more you will advance and it’s random chance really whether you’re going to win or lose, because it’s completely random whether you’re going to be on a team that can beat the other team, which kind of means that it’s kind of irrelevant whether you win or lose, apart from getting rewards for winning, the only thing you get for achieving Marshall is a special soldier that unless you play Normandy and you play the allies has absolutely no use to most other players, Not being a particular fan of Normandie myself the reward for me was completely useless.

I would be all for a ranking system that embraced all elements of gameplay, kills per time, kills in the capture point, time spending defending and attacking, time and kills in vehicles, building rally points and other engineering devices, and a kill death ratio factor, it could be expanded to include best in categories like best sniper, best tanker and have a ranking structure that showed us where people stood in those categories.

Essentially introducing playing for a rank.

Not just some arbitrary time based rank.

I will say this though about reaching Marshall, since once you get there at your rank doesn’t go down it’s actually kind of nice not to have to worry about it anymore :slight_smile:

So the next few months are gonna be pretty laid-back

I like that idea that you would have to play for your rank by going through the different soldier classes and getting the battle hero achievement for that class. I also love the idea that you “kills in strategic zone” and “time spent attacking/defending the zone”. Those are great ideas that I never thought of. Tbh that would encourage more people in completing the objectives instead of camping which I went over in my thread.

Yeah basically you would have to do a little bit of everything, so you might have to spend time camping to raise your kill death ratio, but at the same time you would have to spend time in the capture zone because everything will be cumulative.

Somebody might have more kills than anybody else but they might be right quite low because they never spent any time capturing, or they never shot down an aeroplane with an AA gun, or they never killed a tank with an anti-tank mine, you’d have to do all the things in the game maybe you wouldn’t have to do any of them with expertise but it would encourage you to do all the things in the game

its how their MatchMaker system works. i dont think they have added that player rank at all into its programming for how it makes teams as almost every match i do myself has 1-3 high ranks on my team (including myself) and other 7 are pvt to sergeant and enemy team is opposite of 7 max or 1 from max rank and only 3 low rank.

Gaijins other game Warthunder used the same MM system where it tries to balance all players win rates and views 50% win rate for all players as optimal so it loves to put 1 or 2 really good players on a team with rest of the team new or bad players vs a full team of average stat players. that way if you carry the team to a win it bumps a lot of players win stats up. but if you cant carry and lose it will lower yours closer to average.
