The potential mechanics and maps for Stalingrad

This may be an unpopular opinion, but i am excited for it.

Hopefully the developers will make plenty of new mechanics to come with the new campaign.

Here are some ideas for secondary objectives and locations.

Destroy boats. In the battle of stalingrad, boats swam accross the volga river delivering supplies and men.

You could make it that there will be a wave of boats swimming to Stalingrad, and the germans would have to destroy them. The soviets would have to try and defend them.

Sewers: PLEASE make these as flanking routes, and available to roam, with no gray zone to limit it. I dont want: OHHH YOU WANT TO GO DOWN THAT PATH? GRAYZONE. Dont ok?

Make these tunnels not too well lit, maybe introduce better lighting mechanics so flamethrowers could be a good light source. Like this scene:

Maps:

These would be good to start:

The grain elevator

Pavlovs house

Factory district

Central district

Pitomnik airfield

Volga river

Would hope that a lot of maps would be in WINTER. This would be super cool and immersive.

You can add plenty of different nationalities for axis that fought in Stalingrad.

Romanians

Italians

Hungarians

Slovakians

Lithuanians ( A battalion led by Jonas Semaska that managed to break out)

Probably more:

These minor nations could get their unique unlocks like the Danuvia SMG for Hungarians, Italian weapons for italians, KP31s for Lithuanians.

All i am saying stalingrad has potential.

Bombing run radio call in. Maybe one more judging by other campaigns.

Just like they did in case of Moscow, Normandy and Berlin?

I’m not trying to say that Stalingrad will be crap, but imo you are geting overexited. I speak from experience.

I want unique mechanics for sure however…I feel like they wont pull it off and it will be the same zerg rush as in every other campaign. I’ll wait and see what other people think but unless there is very fun change of pace I will pass on this

Cant think of any italians or any other nationality like hungarians or romanians?

They just have a few italian weapons. Like 1 or 3.

That’s what I meant.
There were many smaller nations that fought in those “operations” and yet they are barely mentioned.
Like, how many foregin soldiers are in those campaigns? 10 squads in total?
Yeah, sure. Stalingrad may be different, but I seriously doubt.

If i am gonna be honest here. I dont care about repeat gear. All i care about good new maps and mechanics. I will still use my K98k and MP40s forever because too iconic

I think its obvious stalingrad will have repeated gear. You didnt mention it but it will definetely have mostly repeated gear

Yeah, it will have it.
No I didn’t mentioned it. So what’s the point of your previous message?

Reading back i dont think there was a point. I just said my opinion on that.

Axis can also get Thompson SMG’s as a premium squad since the 369th (Croatian) Infantry Division used them in Stalingrad.

I just got this leaked map

Stalingrad before shelling/bombing and post shelling/bombing should be a thing, clean city and death city, let’s not focus on the end of stalingrad only so the devs at darkflow can get a boner from yet another Russian victory
