The Pacific theater should be added next

Okinawa or other islands with the Japanese peoples army and their cave fortifications, maybe give officers katanas for when the ammo runs low. The Pacific would bring awesome opportunities for naval combat as well even if that just meant piloting the boat to execute an amphibious landing.

according to the game file, some guns and tank were only used in the pacific like the owen and the stuart m3a1, plus they showed us a type-100 smg with the april fools skin news

No I think other campaigns first, sorry

No, we don’t need more Germany, that playerbase is already spread too thin as is, and a 6th Germany campaign would just make the problems we see in Tunisia worse.

What issue are you talking about? I’m playing from Central Europe and as far as I can tell Tunesia is the best campaign for Axis with Battle for Berlin being the worst. Out of the roughly 15 matches I think I played on that front, the axis managed to score two victories at max. It’s awful.

Dunno how it is in Central Europe, but Tunisia Axis is notorious for having an almost non-existant playerbase in North America, especially now that most of the tryhards have grinded out all of the new stuff. You rarely see anything other than AB 41s and that 6.5 Carcano.

Two campaigns, Burma and Okinawa. Burma for commonwealth, and Okinawa for the US Navy and Marine exclusive things.

I don’t want to yuck anybody’s Yum, but Okinawa would look like a lunar landscape devoid of anything green and the Japanese would be ensconced in a series of interlocking fortification complexes if they model it historically correct, if they must do a 44 US faction vs the Japanese the Philippines would be far more interesting I think

Yes, Okinawa would have hellish place with places like Hacksaw ridge, but all the pacific islands would be like that. However, Okinawa had more than that, as it had more infrastructure than an airfield that can be used to make maps like Shuri Castle and the surrounding village. Philippines could work, but it would have Army air stuff, which is why I am less partial to it (I want my Corsairs, ok?).

Japan vs UK (Indochina), US (island hopping), USSR (Manchuria) and China (mainland) depending on the map loaded

Commonwealth vs Imperial Japanese. so it would be “fair” for new players who quickly chose the pacific campaign

Manchuria would be horribly imbalanced and China is a political landmine.

To be fair, if the devs can pull AVS 36s and Federovs out of god knows where and add them to Berlin, I think it would be OK if they added stuff like the Type 4 rifle and Chi Nu to balance stuff like the Garand and Sherman.

The Japanese are hard to balance in general, without much SMGs and no semi-autos and paper armor tanks.
Captured Garands, Type 4s and Chi Nus would most likely appear anyway indeed even in Manchuria.

I know if and when we see the Pacific added it will most likely be US vs Japan, but would be really cool to see those various factions of the conflict, not just the US.

Make sense. but alot of people will complain about the historical inaccuracy. tho it doesn’t mean its going to be unplayable

Even with Chi Nus and the stuff that never left the home islands, you cannot balance Manchuria. The best the Japanese can offer is the Chi Ri, which is pushing the “if it exists we can add it” rule to the limit already, and it is barely equal to a T-34 85. Seeing as the only weaker soviet tank that could even be considerd being added is the T-80, and the rough equal being the best tank Japan can muster period, there is no way to balance Manchuria whatsoever.

Well people complain about the AVS 36, the Federov, the MkB 42, the T-50, the Jumbo and the M2 carbine already, so not much is going to change. Besides, it will just make for more funny forum posts and discord rants to read.
