I got into BR5 not to long ago game play wise. but my skill lvl after reaching this level in the research tree is IMO decent maybe even lacklustre. most games I’m near the middle as I feel like I should be. yet other games as seen below, I en up right at the top during an extremely frustrating game. where I’m being overrun by Germans every time i try to do something.
I don’t think that SBMM is a silver bullet here either. but what I do know is that it is frustrating to have a team of what feels like pay to win started yesterday dudes one game, and have absolute gods for teamates the next. so while i do think the current BR system has its merit with not putting people with springfields up against MG42’s for example, i don’t think the current system is a complete solution to casual and fun matchmaking.
do others have well thought out ideas on how to solve problems like this? Preferably keeping the casual nature of the game in tact.
On the one hand, it’s due to players who buy a high-BR premium squad straight away, or pull a highBR weapon from from lootboxes and otherwise have everything else in the low-BR sector and don’t know how the MM works.
On the other hand, it’s due to people who don’t understand the importance of Rally Points, like the guy here recently, who only uses the engineers in his engineer squads and doesn’t put them in any other squads because “they’re supposed to remain role-specific” or people refusing to build RallyPoints in general and also fail doing kills
→ these people like to play active against their own team while blaming the game or the team for loosing
In BR 5, contrary to what you might think, people play worse…
But hey, people play horribly on all br, there are few who play well, you get used to it.
I just did alt+f4 after losing a game where my teammates wanted to lose in br5, there was even an idiot making hedgehogs so that allied vehicles wouldn’t pass.
