a f2p player will choose a tank instead in 90% of time…
Which is really dumb since a T-60, Panzer III E (or tanks in similar capabilities) will be just food for better tanks while he could fight even BR3 aircraft with something like bf-109 E7 or Yak-7b

BF 109 E-7/U2 can be used to BR III only if F-4/trop had its bombs 
Honestly I think one of the biggest issues with early Japanese fighters is the relatively light armament, oh and combine that with the carrier take offs, they really need to remove carrier take offs or at least have it by choice, because a lot of those Japanese vehicles are otherwise just a pain to play.
Personally I think you are discounting how effective the german 30mms are on the 262, absolutely godlike for strafing, which would be perfect if pilots could actually see the ground, render distance in aircraft needs to be fixed.
Though completely agree about the lightning, Im so sick of seeing that piece of shit spammed, I dont even think its OP, legit I dont, I just hate fucking seeing it all the time, I think a solid medium attacker could help with that since the options for allied attackers otherwise are a bit too slow. That and the germans should get a solid medium bomber like the
A-36 (2x250lbs Bombs) BR 2
Hamden Mk1 (6x250lbs Bombs) BR 2
Ju-66 C-6 (10x50kg Bombs) BR 2
FC.20 Bis (2x100kg Bombs)(Italian Duck but better) BR 2
Just a couple of suggestions of what you could throw in to boost the axis and cover the allies if you move the Lightning away.

Well the axis can get heavy fighters in ground attacker role also thats the other solution but its much easier to move the lighting to a fighter considering how slow are the devs in developing new equipment.
Well I mean the devs are now gaijin, its a case of porting over a couple models and boom, thats an entire new update made for them now. Not to mention its dearly needed for additions to the Japanese air line, like if you doubled the number of aircraft in the jap TT, it might begin to be enough.
Well thats not their strategy Gaijin strategy is to create scarcity so there is not enough equipment in the TT so you got to buy more P2W squads that bring well profit… 
Agree but from average “special” forces person perspective, my sophisticated guess would be that they are maybe slightly more useful with tank as bombing with any plane aint exactly that simple.
