The Luftfaust should have its BR tier lowered

It is currently restricted to BR5, yet I’m unsure why it is placed so high. The luftfaust is equipped as an AT weapon, and yet its usefulness is much more limited than a panzerfaust or ofenrohr.

What about shooting down planes? It’s tricky and not exactly practical at all. You’re much better off just using an AA turret.

What about shooting infantry with it? The blast radius is rather small, and you’re basically making your AT gunner incapable of actually fighting tanks in exchange for marginally better anti-infantry capabilities

All in all, the luftfaust is a meme gun. It should be lowered to BR3 or BR4 because its usefulness is limited, it’s more of a gag weapon and while it is funny, you’re definitely limiting your usefulness by not taking a panzerfaust in your squad instead

I would rather have useless meme weapon at BR5, than toxic useful weapon weapon at BR3.

So I’d be careful with the change.

Is it exactly toxic? BR3 has rifle grenades and I’d wager those are way more viable than the luftfaust because of their much bigger blast radius and availability (can take 9 riflemen with them with 2 rifles each if you want to be giga toxic)

I can’t say. I don’t own the weapon. I just said my stance to similar changes.

If it’s going to be still just as bad of a meme weapon at BR3, there’s no reason not to make the change.

I agree with your every word.
I also wanted to question the useability of the Luftfaust B.
It might as well be BR 1 or 2 just like most AT rifles because it seems to have almost no use at all.

  • anti tank? no
  • anti infantry? hardly
  • anti airplane? hardly
  • it takes up a place for a real AT weapon
  • it is restricted to use by an AT soldier but it’s an anti-air weapon

There seems to be zero reason to use the Luftfaust. I dont dare to suggest a buff…

You probably shouldn’t have an outspoken opinion on it then. It’s a meme weapon and the last time I tested it, they fixed its ability to deal with any tank that isn’t open top. Not that it should have been that much of a concern in the first place, since it’s taking the place of a real AT weapon and it didn’t do the job very well against any sealed vehicle.

And I would rather that infantry MGs deal real damage against planes - like it did in cbt, well not just like cbt, cbt was kinda crazy…

Sure thing, you stated you’d rather have a useless meme weapon at BR5 as opposed to a toxic useful weapon at BR3. It can be reasonably inferred you said this in response to the commentary about the Luftfaust, so readers are very likely to take away from your message that you believe the Luftfaust would be a toxic useful weapon at BR3.

But they do.

Once I even damaged the engine of some biplane with a shot from a BA. It started to emit a lot of smoke and soon afterwards crashed.

I know I know, you are right, but I sometimes just miss the old days where big capacity MGs were a true counter to planes, but thinking about it further it seems I wish for issues.

I’ve had a lot of success using MGs against aircraft recently. But maybe that’s because I’ve been spending a lot of time in BR4 with MG-39s/42s/45s which are better than most LMGs for AA duty.

I gave the heart for this sugestion hastily… Then checked that Luftfaust B also known as Fliegerfaust was a 1945 weapon. It should stay at BR 5. It’s antiaircraft rocket launcher. Did anyone shoot down a plane with that? Cause it’s extremly hard… Damage againts infantry… let it be said that you got to literary shoot your own feet to suicide :slight_smile:

At the moment using it is just a waste of AT gunner slot in your squad. So if not making it stronger then give it to rifleman also.
