Apparently, not everyone knows that it is possible to dress up soldiers, so this topic will also be educational at the same time! If you drop a fighter out of the squad or replace him, click “OK”, then the fighter will randomly change his uniform. Then drop him back and he will change his clothes again. Thus, through random changes, you can choose the desired “outfit”. In particular, the Germans in Moscow have 3 colors of uniforms for a common squad: green, gray-green and blue;
gray and white helmets; a cap with a balaclava and without, a cap with headphones, and a cap with headphones and without for tankers, three types of helmet for snipers, a non-removable cap for radio operators with headphones;
suspenders are dark and light, a sapper’s sovel on the side, camouflage rolled up on the back, a shoulder bag;
the soldiers in the greatcoat may not have suspenders (scouts, flamethrowers, machine gunners), as well as the belt buckle may be different.
Tankers may also not have suspenders and two types of clothing

The exception to this list of clothes is the headphones of radio guy - they can not be obtained by changing clothes, there is a bug from the academy:
If you put a solder into the academy through a replacement, then the uniform remains on him.
Actually, in order to get a 5-star fighter with headphones, I had to throw 4-star ones directly from the radio squad into the academy. After readiness, we reduce the number of the desired squad to a minimum (for example, assault down to 4) and send any funker (radio guy) (of the same rank as you need) in this squad (less than 5 stars) to the academy with a replacement and we are automatically get the best radio operator (and this is the same 5-star with headphones). Never put him manually, otherwise the clothes are changed randomly! So you can get any class with headphones available in the radio squad. If you wish, you can also drag from other squads, depend on the imagination and a desire.

Soviet Moscow assaulters and machine gunners looked so great, uniformed and actually easy to work on. As for Soviet Berlin assaulters, I have to make sure all of my guys are wearing helmets for it to be uniformed even though the armor plate is the tricky part where didn’t have the time to give the armor plate look for everyone.

Sadly no. They didn’t put any option for them. Will take a look when I get home from work.

some of those outits cannot wear helmets. it’s forced.

There are lots of these things that they just copy pasted. So many wasted oportunities.
I was looking forward to the second Soviet squad in Moscow as I personally don’t like the NKVD squad.
But guess what, the second one is also NKVD. 
Also, having more than one MG34/42 per squad is just shit, so just don’t use that squad.

I know it owns, that is why I don’t use more than one in squad. And also for historical reasons, few of us care for that.
At the end they will nerf German LMG some way or the other, that’s the way they do it. But what they should nerf is availability. Same can be said for lots of other guns.
