It’s not even more powerful than the MG34 and please provide a 25-round magazine. I hope the future Johnson 1944 will be the same.

That’s a good idea, but I got a better idea. We give Johnson’s machine gun a 25-round magazine and… we move it to 3BR. And the American machine gun on the 4BR will take the place of something else. A BAR with a 40-round magazine.
This magazine was originally designed for anti-aircraft use, but it was never mass produced.
But here in Enlisted a lot of things are possible

KE7 also had option for larger magazines so both USA and JP could get cool MGs at BR4
PS Also give it to Germany too as i’m tired of only using slow movement lmgs.

Germany has an MG with 75 rounds and 800rpm firerate in BR IV. I think a 40 round mag fed (which are real field modifications) BARs shooting 600rpm is perfectly acceptable.

Nice, you didn’t even bother to mention stats that actually makes BAR MGs so good in comparison to majority of other MGs.
I guess BARs are now all about 660 rof and low capacity mags.

Unpopular opinion, but I think B-A-Rs are B-A-D. Hell, the United States Army hated them in real life. I would much rather bring a Vickers or Bren to BR III and IV than a BAR. I think they have the worst dispersion out of any MG in BR III, and are just unpleasant to use.
The only thing that makes an MG good is 1. ammo count, 2. fire rate, 3. accuracy. The BAR sadly, has neither of those, aside from maybe fire rate.

I like the BARA2, but it’s not an LMG. It really sucks when there’s a bunch of enemies running at you, you mount your BAR and bang bang bang but you’re constantly reloading due to the 20 round mags. (the BR II German LMG has 25 rounds, likewise Brens and V-B have 30 rounds)
The MG34 vs any of the BARs is chalk and cheese. MG34 is a proper LMG with 50 FIFTY rounds that just goes brrrrrt. It is decent when hip fired and downright lethal when mounted.
I dont understand why people are so against a proper LMG at BR III (and arguably IV) for the Allies.

Ive also considered whether we could get an M1919 with 50 rounds or something. Because even at BR V the M1919 isnt that good. The ROF is quite chug chug chug. I agree that an 100 round belt fed LMG would be OP at BR III, but if Axis get a 50 round proper LMG, why not Allies?
In real life the Americans had the M1919 from the start.
The game has the A6 model which was apparently very unpopular. In promotional pictures we see M1919A4 versions so not sure why we cant use those.
Even if they made it that the M1919 with 50 rounds had to be lying down or mounted for it to shoot.
But the lewis gun makes the most sense to me. Move the M1918BAR down to BR II so that way we have British and American options at both low and mid-high BR.

I agree with moving the M1918 to BR II. It has no place in BR III.
My only question is, were 50 round belts ever made for M1919s?

Here’s what I think: Drop the M1919A6 to BR 4, put this at BR 5:
800 RPM belt fed BAR (M240 but 15 years early)

Damn man that’s really cool actually. It should be TT. The Soviets got the RPD 14 years earlier (the RD-44) and the German’s have literal anti-aircraft MGs in the ground tree.

Id agree with M1919A6 to BR IV.
Im still not sure about the Johnson to BR III though. It’s not exactly a revolutionary LMG and only has 25 rounds (half the capacity of an MG34).
In principle it’s an improvement to the BARs at BR III in the LMG role but not by much.
Note I dont have a problem leaving the BARA2 for example at BR III for those that wish to use it as they see fit. It is a good gun as an automatic rifle, just not as an LMG.

Well, since essentially level four is just a cannon fodder level for level five, and no one would use the Johnson at level five it should be moved to level three. I still wouldn’t use it at level three as the BAR A2 is superior. I have requested several times for DF to add a 40 round magazine to the BAR A2. I would call it the BAR 1918A2/40. I guess it could be level four or five since it most likely would be fighting in level five anyway.

So clearly they are made, but whether they are cut down reproductions for civilian use or if they were actually used is another question. But at least they do exist…
(more than what can be said for half of the guns ingame)
Not possible, mag sizes change only if it’s inaccurate to the model, but if you have any other ideas on how to improve it feel free to share them
The biggest issue with Johnson LMG are its not very comfortable sights.
Maybe putting camera further back could help.
