In reality, you can’t hide away from the rear of the battlefield and stay in your own office. A whole bureau uses the over the horizon brought by satellite technology to call artillery support.
Unfortunately, some players do this. They don’t even fire a shot and hide in the rear waiting for artillery support. This is inefficient and negative.
The herald should call for artillery in a more realistic way. You must go to the front and give your artillery coordinates so that they can bomb the area you need to bomb accurately.
I think we should change the way the messenger calls artillery, mark the coordinates with a telescope, or throw a signal bomb to indicate the artillery, so as to increase the enthusiasm and difficulty of the messenger’s game

But realistically, you don’t need a visual to call in artillery. All you need is a position on an accurate map so you know your distances (in a perfect world, which computer games are). Its not hard to predict where the enemy will be on a map relative to your forces (in enlisted anyway).
If you know where the enemy is, why would you need a visual. signal smoke would be for CAS
If you wanted it to be harder, You have to make the Map not accurate (or no player markers at all), and add a ranging round to the artillery so the spotter could adjust.
Or just go the full post scriptum, and give a map grid, and you have to manually calculate distance. math math math. Although I thought this was neat. I can tell you very few offered to make the calculations for accurate fire. They just wanted to be the guy to be told the coordinates, pull the trigger and get the kill. Ah yes, its all coming back to me, being a squad leader and feeding everyone else the kills and points.

They could implement binoculars, where instead of second rifle, the radio carry it to mark the coordinates, to use artillery is the same, but instead of use the map to use it, the player MUST point the binoculars to the target and hold for some seconds, where they “charge” the artillery, the more they charge, more shells and e precise the artillery will be.
“Requesting artillery support. I repeat. Requesting Artillery support, enemy is covered/bunked/trenched at the location F-10 / D-06 / A-03 Over.”

This is a good suggestion
How about this suggestion, consider using the telescope way to directly set the position of the artillery bombardment

That’s what I think. In other similar games, they also call artillery support in this way
