The God of War : Artillery Squad & AT Gun Overhaul

(TL:DR)

  1. give AT Gun to AT Squad
  2. Give Infantry Guns and Howitzers to A new Squad
  3. Bigger map, more player and bigger capture points

Part 1. Re-Balancing AT Guns

1.1. Anti-tank squads currently lack long-range AT weapons. Moving AT guns to the Engineer squad would solve this problem while stopping it from spamming. It’s more historic BTW.

1.2. Reduce the amount of HE shells
AT Guns should not have a dozen HE shells that can kill the game. Limit HE amounts into a sensible range for self-defense (5 rounds. etc) should be good enough.

1.3. Soviet high BR AT guns
At least they have their own.
Zis-3 with German modification ( Pak 36 (r) )
It’s widely used in the eastern front and was captured and used by the Sovie’s AT battalions. Better than 17-pdr which is never been used in the eastern front.

Part 2. New Artillry squad

2.1. Squad basics
The squad should contain 4-5 members with 2 engineer upgrades. Using general infantry weapons.

2.2. Special Soldier Class
Special soldiers should be able to carry flares to search for enemies in an imprecise way. For example, color the big map for each section in 100m ranges. Use green for 0-5 enemies, orange for 5-15 enemies, and red for over 15 enemies for each section in 100m ranges. It should earn some assist marks for them.It should have assist points for them

2.3. Guns
Guns should be built by engineers and divided into high and low BR.

2.4. Trucks (optional)
Squad has an upgrade for allowing engineers to build trucks like Big Action mod for towing artilleries. So ammunition should be refilled in tank refilling point instead of engineer’s hammer.

2.5. Gameplay of Guns
Artillery should be equipped with both direct and indirect scope for players to shoot like IRL.
Only 2 guns (or squads) can be spawned same time on each side.

2.6. Ammo amount
For Low BR guns, HE shells should remain as AT guns do now, with about 5 rounds of HEAT shells.
For High BR guns, they should only have a limited amount (about 9-12) HEs.

Part 3. Coorabration with the upcoming Remade Rider Squad

Rider Squad can also assist the artillery squad by scouting enemies or towing guns. The scouting mechanism is mentioned in 2.2

Part 4. Change in maps
Maps should be extended and the player amount should increase from 10 to 15 per side.
The control point should be bigger (for example: from 1 building to 3 buildings) to avoid overcrowded.

You cleary put in effort into the post and in a different world I’d love for something like this to happen
I just hate the idea of adding more and more and more ways for people to not be playing the actual objective AND making people who do play the objective suffer more.

Whenever you get a team that consists of 3 snipers + mortar guy + radio guy spamming arty from spawn + AT/ heavy MG enjoyer 300 m back it is just unplayable

Perhaps if both sides had limited tickets it could work. Right now, if you are killing defenders without people doing the objective all you do is waste time

And on top of that, the way XP works - you’ll be complaining how the game is really grindy and painful

Yeah, people camping outside the point is pretty annoying.
So I suggested more people in the same match and hoped it could help…

That is incorrect, the Pak 36(r) is a F-22, with modernised/modified mount (both controlls on the left side)
as well as drilled out to accept 7,6x714mmR casings.

The Zis-3 with german modification is the Pak 39(r), which is pretty much identical (in terms of modifications) to the Pak 36(r), but on Zis-3 basis as well as duo to shorter barrle, lower velocity.

There is also a different eaqually weaker infantry gun, than the Type 94. The 70mm Type 92

That gun is far more powerfull in the AT categorie than the rest.

But overall, i really REALLY want a 10,5 cm LeFH 18 L/28. My Top beloved Nr.1 Field Gun, closely followed by the 7,5 cm FK 16 n.A. L/36 (which still was used in WW2, both as Fieldguns, AT guns and mounted on the KD-1 as Dual AT/AA Vehicle. Equipped with an array of ammo, He, SAPHE, APCBC (K.Gr.Rot Pz, but at 650m/s), Gr.38 HEAT series, Shrapnell Shells (Time fused) and Smoke.
