The FG42-2 became even worse after the recoil bug fix

The current FG42-2 has become nearly as bad as the AVT40 due to the introduction of random recoil. This change has added uncontrollable side-to-side sway, stripping the FG42-2 of its unique characteristics and making the gun significantly worse. The random horizontal recoil is simply impossible for players to manage. Please revert the random recoil changes. Didn’t we all agree in the forum discussions that this update was supposed to improve the FG42-2?

(In the older version, the FG42-1 and FG42-2 (random recoill = 0,And now it’s 0.35)

And why are AVT and AVS also weakened? These two automatic weapons are not as good as FG42-2. Why do they strengthen their horizontal recoil and vertical recoil?

Why AVS and AVT are weaked too? Completely bad update for everyone:(

idk wht devs are thinking…fg 42 -1 and avs become worst

And they need to remove the movement speed penalty from the normal federov because it not a mg

normal fedorov doesn’t have a movement speed penalty

Quite literally the same as before the minor update, and the AVS has slightly better recoil since it was buffed

I think both of these guns are still awful. This update didn’t solve the problem at all; it actually created even more issues.

Isn’t that literally what you asked for?

The most annoying thing is that the nerf also affected these guys, and they only became relevant again.
Premium, event and sniper rifles did not need to be broken :sob:

So, what about T-20 and Hei? Why are they still so strong? Regardless of buffs or nerfs, shouldn’t they at least be treated equally?

Hey, Euthy, can you check whether the patch unintentionally affects other weapons? The recoil patterns on many guns feel weird to me, like having a sudden surge of random recoil that makes the weapon uncontrollable. Check Conders, ppsh family, and mp35, they now all have a perpendicular recoil pattern to the right, and I swear they almost have no recoil before the patch. Also, check Vickers mg on the event paratrooper squad, it is wild.

i remember the first days of Stalingrad
the machine guns had DOWNWARD RECOIL

Haven’t seen any difference in gun behavior, they’re the same as before the minor update

Can you pls verify it again, not just by looking at the stats but trying them in game? At least, can you test the event Vickers mg in a live environment? That recoil just can’t be right. I don’t have the definitive proof since I can’t directly compare the recoils before and after the patch, but my feelings tell me something is off with the recoils. I have also consulted a number of players on this issue, and many of them do agree that their guns handle worse after the patch. Some with added horizontal recoils, others become completely uncontrollable like Vickers mg. Many thanks.

Their recoil is wild going up, left and right. Horizontal recoil is mandatory on them now but they only have 15 yellow points

And no basic FG42/II are not worse than before you can now actually hit people in burst fire

The shooting mechanics now feel like a person with muscular weakness, controlling the gun with only three fingers.

I’m not sure if it’s your poor game sense or something else, but this game lets you significantly reduce recoil just by crouching. AVS is a notoriously bad weapon, yet you think it’s strong. FG42-2 has become so hard to use, but you consider that a buff. I think your gameplay skills are probably quite lacking, or maybe you just don’t play often.

No, the Fedorov has huge horizontal recoil and is now uncontrollable. I’m not sure if other weapons have this issue since my inventory is limited. This is clearly a serious bug.

If you’ve used both the AVT-40 and FG42-2, you’ll see the FG42-2 is more agile with similar firepower, plus a larger magazine capacity, which makes it more forgiving. I don’t get why you think the FG42-2 is weaker than the AVT-40. In most games, Germany usually has the upper hand, whether against the Soviets or the U.S.
