It’s a terrible dispersion of the bullets from the machine gun and at 30 meters the bullets fly around the enemy and it’s hard to hit the target. The machine gun historically was used to suppress the enemy and hit the enemy from hundreds of meters away. In this game, the machine gun becomes a one-shot submachine gun and everyone is doing what the submachine gun is doing because the long range machine gun is too weak The dispersion of the machine gun is so terrible that even if I have the gun the bullets will fly by the enemy and kill a distant enemy and I need 20 bullets because 15 of them are scattered off target
I basically use it as a shotgun because the dispersion is so pathetic at more than 30 feet you’ll miss the first 3 shots.
I don’t seem to be having any issues with the dispersion when firing short bursts. I’d have to say its fine as is.
i try to use it in short brust but the recoil is too much to shot any more then 3-4 bullets and the dispersion means you miss %90 of the time unless you are within 25 meters
They should do what BFV did with the “medium machine gun” category - make them accurate, disable ADS while not bipoded and improve the bipod mechanics.
All machine guns with the ammo capacity of 47 rounds or more should work that way.
I feel like with how slow firing the russian mgs are they should be more accurate because aiming right at a guy at about 20 feet seems to miss a lot of the time.
Because your console cheat recoil elimates one thing. It still doesn’t make therm more accurate.
Keep in mind I also use the “decrease horizontal recoil when standing” perk. If you are standing when you enter the MG nest, it helps. (This has worked for me, I know plenty of people say it does not, but I have noticed a visible difference personally.)
Firing “semi-auto” just pulling the trigger for each shot also helps to keep it from jumping around, and it doesn’t heat up hardly at all.
still very usless
The bullet dispersion problem is not something that the recoil can change even if the recoil of the machine gun was 0 the bullet dispersion would still be the same and the machine gun would still be difficult to use
