The circle of tank vs infantry balance

At least that’s how I see it. Now please tell me how wrong I am and how I try to destroy the game with my stupid ideas.

Sums it up pretty well.

The more that I think about the topic, the more in favour I become of limiting handheld AT weaponry in some way, such as through only having AT soldiers in dedicated AT squads. When every squad has the capability to tackle most any tank at even quite respectable ranges, why would you ever want to charge in as a tank? It’s just too dangerous for lessened rewards.

After that, we also need to provide advantages for tanks to actually move in, instead of sticking to greyzone HE spam. I think letting crews inside vehicles capture points, albeit at a lower rate than regular infantry.

Next, provide additional benefits for allied infantry who escort and assist tanks. I’m thinking score increases from infantry kills near the tank, and against people targeting the tank (any individual soldier who would normally be credited with a Assist when the tank is destroyed would count as “targeting” the tank), this would be similar to how you gain extra score from killing people at long range or in and around a objective. Lets face it, the average player is dumb and selfish, and expecting players to escort tanks just because “it’s good for the team effort” won’t work in practice, hence why there should be rewards attatched to it to incentivize this behaviour.

I would be all for tanks to have murderous mg if not for
The gray zone and sneeze of death by which I mean the ability of tanks to use he point blank
By definition tanks were best at long to medium range. Cqc or close quarter combat was a weakness given lack of situational awareness.
Unless the commander was exposing himself with the hatch up the crew was limited to a few small use ports.
Soldiers on the regular were able get close enough chuck grenades and cocktails onto the tank.
It’s why many tankers refused to advance in the enemy without the support of infantry.
Tanks are only supposed to be strong with infantry thus why many countries made specialist vehicles.
Aa tank, artillery tanks, infantry support tanks a standard tanks duty is to kill tanks. Attempts to make a fully mechanism for e have failed to this day even with apcs am if s. Simply put it in impossible to move an entire army without having some of the men on foot.
Making a tank able to deal with infantry and other tanks would be far too op, especially if supported by another tank. The best solution would be to nerf he now wait till I finish.
In exchange non at weapons would be nerfed as well.dynamit or satchel charges cannot one hit kill a tank period. Nor molotovs both would be limited to module damage and crew kills.
This would mean tanks would only have to worry about Instant death from at weapons tanks, planes or engineers. Meaning the only weapon like 12. Infantry classes have to instant kill a tank is TNT. Which if you let someone set a charge move away and detonate it you deserve death. Also TNT or Det pack would have a safety to prevent a self harm use of it.
