We present to your attention a large-scale joint project of me (love, do not favor), @I_Garmata_I@97280991@36686542@Tovarisch_Jabzap , The “Battle for the Caucasus” campaign
What is the main concept of the company?
We already have Urban battles, battles in the conditions of a forest belt, a combination of bushes-fields-houses
What are we missing? We don’t have enough Mountain Fighting. As well as vertical gameplay.
Therefore, we suggest you create a company that will combine these missing items - The Battle for the Caucasus
The years of fighting - 1942-1943.
Sides:
Allies - the USSR + weapons and equipment supplied under lend-lease.
Axis - Combined German-Romanian troops, with the participation of the Slovak "Rapid Division”
The main map options are mountain passes (For example, the Klukhorsky Pass), mountain settlements (for example, Mozdok-Malgobek operations), mountain plateaus / suburbs of large cities combining plain and mountain elements (for example, the Nalchik-Ordzhonikidze operation, the Defense of the city of Vladikavkaz) - and valleys (for example, battles in the valley of the Fiagdon River/Terek).
The companies will be represented by the following devices: Mannlicher Md.93 Steyr M1912 СZ.Vz 38 VIS35
Mannlicher M1888-90 IAR 80 LagG3 TACAM T-60 SU76M PZIII L Т-34 40.
B-1Bis P40 Heinkel He 112 Bergmann MG08-15 N.a Vz.98/22 Hotchkiss М1909 YAK-1 М1928 (Drum Mag 100) Dragoon Mosin Rifle 1910 г.
Place the pistols as desired.
The levels are arranged by a collective decision, the balance of the campaign at each stage is observed, most of the balance is symmetrical, the tank-anti-tank “balance” is asymmetric, the advantages of the parties are mainly saved.
All these names fit in with historical realities and took place on this front with 95% probability. Historicity - saved.
In fact, we provide you with a design project of the company on 35 levels. We strongly ask you to use it @Keofox@Old_Decard (WE HAVE BLACK PEA JACKETS) @1998113@GROSSE_KAISER@24929925
But general lineup is very, VERY similar to Moscow.
Yes, many weapons are taken from the “Battle for Moscow” campaign. But these are the historical realities of the specified period.
But due to vertical gameplay in mountain landscapes, as well as an extended list of vehicles (T-34 in several variations, KV-1S, M-3 Scout armored personnel carrier of the Red Army) for maps on flat terrain - this campaign will compare favorably with the same "Battles for Moscow.
In addition, for the Axis in this campaign, the Romanian will be represented, as well as the Slovaks, who participated in the battle for the Caucasus on the side of the Germans.
I’d like the maps, though.
The cards will be very different.
After all, the battle for the Caucasus is a very wide list of battles in a variety of locations, ranging from battles in urban areas (not like in Berlin, but rather like in Normandy or near Moscow) or in a wooded-rural area, and ending with battles in the mountains, where The main feature of this campaign will show itself perfectly - vertical gameplay, when the battles take place on the slopes of the mountains, as well as on the mountain ranges.
Worthy of note:
I’ve been on YouTube out of nostalgia to look at videos from cod1 (back when cod were good games) and… there’s still people playing multiplayer even TODAY with maps having more than 60 humans PER SIDE…
C and S are the same letter in russian? huh. i though there was also a kv1c (at least im pretty sure thers one in WT) but idk. what would be the counter to it then? (btw a word for a mistyping/misspelling is typo)
С that sounds like in Sound is C, C that sounds like in Citrate - Ц, С that sounds like in Curiosity - К
i know, just drunk rn
C there sounds like S, so i written S. If that C, that’s strange, but not a huge difference, well, at least for ru-speakers.
And PZ4H is meant to counter it. Part of the balance is that Soviet Tanks>>>>Wermacht Tanks, but Wermacht AT’s >>>> Soviet AT’s - AT Troops of the axis side would be much stronger, and they should counter soviet tanks, while soviet AT’s won’t be able to counter tanks before getting Bazooka
ok. wasnt sure how you planned that. looks like an interesting idea. was it a significant enough conflict to warrant being its own campaign tho? (as compared to being an event)
Yes, yes, and one more YES
Caucasus was the Hitler target already in the beginning of the autumn, since he moved Guderian tank group there, and this operation was the last real chance for the axis to conqure oil fields in Baku/Mozdok, they hardly needed that oil for the Stalingrad, and overall army movements. All the forces that were able to fight were thrown there, so yes - it is definetly the most important part of the Eastern front after the Moscow battle
Yep, i can understand you, since soviet side getting OP T34-40 vs PZ3L it might be hard to get how axis supposed to counter these beasts
