As you can see here, the bullets are not coming from the barrel.
Therefore, my suggestion is, let the bullets fly out of the barrel.
nah, I think it’s alright.
it’s fly out from the chamber just like a real bullet should.
And ignores the barrel.
what you mean ignore the barrel? here the barrel clip through the wood
No?
would it even change anything in normal games?
yes
I mean, what they should do is make weapon have collusion mechanic so the soldier raise their gun rather than shoving them into the wall or something
So barrel is clipping through the wood and the wood stops bullets. Add colision to weapon models so you can’t have barrel going through objects - problem solved.
Making bullets fire from the end of the barrel will allow people to shot from behind the cover because barrel sticks at the other end of the cover. Seems highly abusable, especially with MGs.
implemented the same barrel mechanic in war thunder I suppose? your tank barrel goes through walls but the shells come from the back of the gun. I believe this form of mechanic for guns is spread out through FPS games, no matter if the gun you’re holding corresponds to 3rd person or is a GUI.
not accurately tho
So what? Accuracy doesn’t matter if you can spray 40 rounds end each of them can down the enemy.
Your gun being partially inside an object is I think a pretty good reason for the bullet to not land on target. Unless they actually add a system for the gun to be deflected by objects and the bullet to then fire along the path the barrel is pointing, I’m going to say having the bullet emerge from the chamber is better than letting people shoot through solid objects.
