The Bot aggravation continues

So, we are taking a cap point and I run in a log cabin, order my remaining three bots inside, and I see the X on the floor. The first two bots run in just fine, but the third dumbass runs to the door and stops, he turns around like he wants to fight, but just stands there like he has a giant stick up his ass. Before I could change to him to try and manually get the idiot in the cabin, he dies. But wait, it gets better. :face_with_diagonal_mouth: My engineer for some reason took it upon himself to run out of the cabin, right past me, out the door and around the cabin to the right. WTF is going on with these morons? So, I switch to him and try and make a dash back in the door only to be capped by some enemy dude before I could run four steps. I lose my next radio man bot during a fire fight, and run out of ammo with my last dude, then end up dying with my axe in my hand. We won the game, but my gosh these bots just keep getting dumber and dumber. :joy:

If I were Gaijin, I would be embarrassed that this is the best they can do. I actually think the bots have got worse since I first started playing 3 1/2 years ago.

You can give each bot a command, so sometimes there are 5 bots on 30 square centimeters

Omg yes, I hate how bots will just randomly exit cover, and will only run out for the express purpose of standing in the middle of the open, making not even a slight attempt to fight back. But then the few times you do want them to move quickly to avoid an incoming tank or plane, they will just sit there like morons.

Like it would be no where near as bad if they allowed you to set the bot hold position more than 50m’s away, like ffs, 90% of maps, I need to cross more than 50m to clear out whatever MG or sniper is suppressing the advances, meaning I get just about close enough to get a grenade out, only for my squad to suddenly act like lost children and run for their parent, directly into MG fire a mere 5 seconds before my grenade would have wiped out the nest and they could have advanced basically without loss.

That or at least let me do the super super basic, set position, like if my bots are hunkering down on a cap point, I want them prone, but the second I stand up, they will stand up, normally perfectly timed to eat a tank shell that landed behind the car or whatever they were using for cover, so instead of sheltering in the nice cover, they stand up to eat the shrapnel.

God there is so much I want to rant about how shit they are, and then I see the fucking sheer level of skill issue some players have vs bots which just astounds me.
