The Blue Division was a unit of Spanish volunteers that fought alongside German forces on the Eastern Front during World War II. Formed in 1941 by Francisco Franco’s regime, the division was made up of Falangists and military personnel who were sympathetic to the regime and who primarily saw combat during the siege of Leningrad.
Although Spain officially remained neutral in the war, Franco sent this division to show support for Hitler against the Soviet Union. In 1943, due to international pressure and the unfavorable turn of the war, Franco ordered their withdrawal. Nevertheless, some volunteers chose to continue fighting in other German units.

even just recently, devs showed that those pieces are still there, since in the store the paratroopers units had patches in the promotional material.
The idea is interesting. I would like them to add Castilian voices when fighting, but also if they are added, I would like to add to the Russians the Spaniards who fought for them and to the allied forces the division that fought to liberate Paris…
It would be even nicer if they added more decals and decorators back in on the soldiers themselves. Hopefully that will be added back in as the game matures.
