I have to defend devs, they have produced one of the most fun immersive WWII games, I have been playing since CBT, the thing is I think they have fallen foul of a key design decision ie The Merge, which has tied up resources after they realized how complex it would be to implement.
You see the issue is with people, not the game itself, but encouraging one sided teams (due to win rate bonuses), people exploiting AA flak, rifle grenades, HMG and shooting in Moscow all prime examples, not to mention reacting to short term complainers has resulted in a not so fun game for some side / armies.
Tommy has surpassed himself and this is my go to Enlisted gameplay now, so see you on the Volok front soldier!
Devs have provided the awesome platform and has heaps of potential just waiting to be tapped into, and im hoping they get to it.
Tommy can see it and is just going straight to it.

Yes you can set it to a specific campaign.
But considering the player base of this game, opening all campaigns will make more human players willing to participate in the game (because many players only grind part of the campaign, may not Moscow)
But I also added things to the other campaigns that fit the USSR or Eastern Front background.
For example, the Allied airborne paratroopers can build a reasonable T-60 as an airdrop tank~
meaning that, you will face and see occasionally allied units, panthers, tigers, UK & US Troops and what not.
so, if you want to fully experience it in HA, i suggest you to host it on your own against bots.
it can be immersive and really good.
bots have been slighlty upgraded too.
meaning that, unlike normal gamemode, they will place more rallies, attack from a wider range ( instead of the same lines )
but, it might take you longer. as, you will be the only player.
the choise is yours.
personally, thatās how i enjoyed the most tommyās mod.
although, was more designed for pvp as you have more than one objective at a time ( ish )

in solo, yeah.
select the campaign of which german and USSR you want, and host it.
only issue, you canāt really decide what you will play. so if you play it in solo, i believe you will be putted automatically in team 1 ( the germans that has to attack )
but if you want to play as soviets,
for that, you will need to set the room for 2 players ( which means, another player might join⦠)
but you will be able to select the side.
unfortunately, youāll have to thank the genious at DF in charge of customs for his improvements ( or rather, lack there of ).
but definitely duable.
if you want, i can host a private match and give you the password in dms.
so you can play what you want and no one joining.

( which gives premium people the ability to use passwords. for some unknown reasons, you canāt put password as free to player⦠another great DF move )
The pve is quite fun and challenging for the first few playthroughs. At least until you work out the extra mod features and just wreck them lol
Especially playing the Soviet Red Army as the defender is really difficult, the Germans will coming at you like ants. (25 squads and the AI build and use rally points)
However, the current AI of the defenders has some flaws. Sometimes they will not actively enter the controlled capzone until the attackers start to occupy them and then come from a distance.
It is very important to build rally points no matter how you build them, as the AI will always prioritize your rally points.
You donāt want to watch them running from their distant default rally point. . But the walking simulation problem is only for AI, they donāt build and use vehicles.
You can also open a room with only Moscow campaign. and have fewer players and more AI
Another flaw that I dont know what you could do about it. Is You can get ahead of the defenders. They seem to keep using their rallies from the point they lost, and they fall a long way behind, and you can landslide them

as A host, you set it up how you want. PvE, PVP, and which campaign(s)ā¦so yes

but⦠good luck finding people joining.
because specific battles for specific campaigns ( especially earlier ones ) are usually rare to find enough players for it.
hence, why tommy allowed more factions to join.
so at least you would have some player consistency.

i believe if you switch to mixed teams, germans might defend.
but youāll find soviet allies defending.
it depends many things, but on my " blood and rose " ( now deceased map ) i found out it was possible.
How can I cange team in this mod? I Play with a friend, but we seem to be forced to a specific team and cannot change afterā¦
well, customs are a pain to deal with when trying to play with a friend.
curretly, the easiest way is: one of the 2 that has premium, must be the hoster.
all he has to do, is to set a password, and select max number of players.
then, the host must start the match while the second will have to wait for the match to start.
and then once the match has been created and the host is in the match, the second will have to press ready and join.
second method which itās⦠somewhat similar, but it doesnāt involve premium ( hence you will not be able to lock the room )
essentially, select more players, and do the second part:

but unlike the first method, people might join and disrupt / bother you and your friend.
reason why you canāt join immediately or the second player must wait for the hoster to join in the match, itās because as you can probably guess / already tried, the game doesnāt like that the teams are " unbalanced ".
