It’s probably people like me that use historical load outs no matter the BR, like I use Kar98k no matter the BR, only the squad name and type.

And that’s great, everyone enjoys it in their own way, but I don’t know how useful or fun making a weapon smoothie is xD
It’s not the player’s responsibility to make the matchmaking anyway, and I personally think that br shouldn’t be mixed like that, but the devs don’t seem interested in it… Hell, the devs don’t even seem interested in anything other than money.
I’ve played , before the jet update, with some low br stuff (boltaction, br1 or 2 plans) in br5 (both russian and axe), bcause I like to use some of my old toys (mp717r for exemple).
Can’t really deal in CQB against proto AR , but I were in top of the game 
And a 100kg bomb do the same dammage in br1 or in br5 .
I’m mainly playing br1 axe, br2 (actualy br3) with Ru, and br2 for Jap , br3 for US ; because it’s “semi HA” Imo and I like it.

If it’s the only thing you have to defend yourself and there’s no alternative, they’ll even use that xD

I did a fully historical loadout, but it was too hard (1 MG and 2 assaulters die really fast). Surprisingly, I enjoyed doing the inbetween of 3 assaulters and 2 MGs in their respective squads. I might do it again.
