The beginning of the pay-to-win squads?

if this hadn’t caused damage wy they would not have done it before? Simple it is clear that for them there could be a loss of income and therefore they prefer this way

I’m not mad about it I’m just irritated. I want a damn engineer in my other squads! Should the engineer get an MG though? I’d say hell no they should have a rifle like every other engineer in the game because now you have what a 5 man MG team when standard squads have 3?

cry cry cry
Lewis Squad is same as MG13 Squad dont cry … Pay or Suffer

FACE IT

It’s pretty obvious the current premium squads are closer to P2W than others. Idk about full blown P2W, but certainly closer. MG13 is absolutely bonkers, 75 round magazine, fast reload, accurate. You get vitality, can easily get recoil reduction, and an engineer to build ammo/rallys. The Engineer isn’t even really the OP part, it’s more than you get an amazing gun and amazing perk loadout for a class (gunner) that struggles with getting 16 Vitality. I’ve been grinding up my Axis Moscow and using that squad is hilarious, getting 40+ kills with one spawn is not uncommon for me whatsoever.

Haven’t used the Lewis Gun too much but the sights are rough to say the least. Good for hitting targets but they block a lot of your sight so changing targets can be tough.

Sadly, we seem to be only few steps away from mess we had in CBT…
But more expensive and with engineer as bonus.

People here argue that devs need to make money somehow… and I agree. However, why not just add possibility to buy slot for engineer on old premium squads too?
And why giving them automatic weapon as the rest of the squad? That is just bloody awful decision no one sane can defend.

this engineer can build structures that are available only in the engineering squad. This should not be the case.
Otherwise, the number of soldiers of different classes in the premium and normal squads should be equal. There should not be 5 machine gunners.

Absolutely true. I don’t understand why you can’t just make the number of fighters like a normal squad, while keeping the number of fighters of each class.

This is the step I don’t want to take.
I think they’re testing the reaction. We have to show that’s not what we want, but the regular squad compositions.

I’ve never really like the term pay to win, personally.
Winning still requires skill and knowledge, regardless of weapon or class. Its more to me pay to have an advantage. Which it clearly gives. No single attached engineer on a squad can build what this one can. And its a really good gun the MG. Coupled with perks it makes a veteran deadly. An advantage.
Much like how the PZ4 E Premium has access to HEAT rounds, yet the regular PZ4 E and F1 do not.

I wouldn’t call it p2w but it’s stupid as fuck.
Those squads break all possible rules established by other squads.

At this point devs can introduce an engi squad with 9 soldiers all equipped with SMGs/LMGs. And additionally it can have a radio operator with smoke arty and fast cooldown.
Because why not? Now all rules are in a trash anyway.

I can take out any default tier 1 bolt action squad and still come out on top of the premium squads. How is that pay to win?

What are you, machine guns, similar to donated player gets only at level 21, and even these immediately improved, as well as them in the squad 5.
Do not forget that this squad is an engineer, and he can build that engineer in the normal squad can not build (and this is sometimes necessary)

It’s all trash. I don’t think there should be any significant advantages. Tanks can be different, not the same as in the campaign, but not the same, only with improved projectile.
However, this squad breaks the rules of the game, as the guy below pointed out. It sets a precedent for developers to do this further. What’s to stop them from doing that? Next there will be Stormtroopers that can also carry a grenade launcher or 9 engineers with machine guns.
If the rules are broken once, rest assured it will happen again.

True, but not more than previous, nerfed to uselessness premium squads violated the rules by disabling any specialists.

New squads are comparable to maxed out regular squads. They are not better, in my experience they are a bit worse, but they are competent, useful and fun. To me they just make sense to buy - unlike what we had before.

Which probably is the main reason they appeared.

I wouldn’t be happy if I had it, because tomorrow they will introduce something even stronger and my unit will go to the trash.
That’s the wrong direction.
They shouldn’t be releasing stronger and stronger units, there should be a standard

5 LMG and an engineer who can build all is too much. Nothing more too it.

pay to win
