If my soldier could survive a direct hit with a 7.62x54mm bullet, how could he be killed by 20 grams of gunpowder? AP mines must be nerf in some way.
alternatively get really, really , ghoulish / “'full sicko mode”, and have limbs be able to be blown off by bullets/etc without instantly killing the soldier just inhibiting their ability to move, aim, and fire,
make it look like something out of an Garth Ennis’s Graphic novels.

Which would require attacker in this exact case to have a squad with grenade pack in order to nade the cap point.
Doesnt exactly sound like a fair trade when you can have 9 AP mines without any sacrifices, while the other guy has to sacrifice large ammo pouch for example to have enough nades to spam the cap point.
If the cap is inside a house, the bombs dont detonate them.
Quite easily, often as defender when the cap gets taken I drop randomly the mines while running to next cap.
Doesnt cost anything, doesnt take any effort and more than often some lucky guy finds my randomly dropped AP mine.

Let’s calculate. First, you need to spend about 10 seconds running a circle to command your AI soldiers to reach the location where you want to lay landmines, then switch soldiers and lay landmines. This looks like each landmine takes 1 second, adding up to about 20 seconds. Of course, if you just press X and switch soldiers and throw landmines randomly, it’s difficult to make all the landmines work, and there may even be many landmines coming together.
It seems worthwhile to spend double the time to make all landmines more effective.

And I don’t know why you made it so complicated. I had two soldiers in my Assaulter squad (engineer and sniper) armed with mines, and I just dropped them where they were in the CP. All blew up and killed people.
I don’t know why you need to make mine too complicated to justify your spam because it really is. If they are truly that bad, just don’t use them then.

Yeah let’s forget that on average, the vast majority of your enemies are bots that do not even recognize mines (or sometimes enemies either).
Or that people have better things to do than always look at the ground… for example, looking at the enemy shooting at them…
But yeah… mines suffer.
The premise for balancing a weapon is to assume that its enemies are normal level players, therefore, I believe it is better to increase the BR level of landmines, at least in high-level battles, more players will know how to deal with landmines.Similarly, with the increase of weapon level, the killing power of landmines will not be too great in comparison.
It still doesn’t solve the issue that bots can’t see them, that they glitch through the ground, and that most people prefer looking at the enemy and not on the ground, regardless of BR.
So, BR 1-2 no AP mines and keep the BR5 as unplayable spam fest as it currently is ?

you should be able to order your troops to lay landmines and build structures;
would be quite nice especially for Tank Mines where you don’t have the luxury of switching troops while near a road or the bottom of a hill facing towards enemy,
at the saem time tank hedgehogs are something that needs to be switched around for interiors because it’s silly that we have to use them as barracades.
