The ability to remove destroyed tanks and naturally grown bar wire?

as topic. these things are really annoying on old maps when the road for tank is soooo narrow and the ground is full of bar wire stoping defender rushing to obj

I could see giving engineers the ability to “disassemble” destroyed tanks/equipment. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t abused the ability to block off entire avenues to an objective with a destroyed tank, since they basically become permanent fixtures.

A Bangalore torpedo is an explosive charge placed within one or several connected tubes. It is used by combat engineers to clear obstacles that would otherwise require them to approach directly, possibly under fire. It is sometimes colloquially referred to as a “Bangalore mine”, “banger” or simply “Bangalore” as well as a pole charge.

Per United States Army Field Manual 5-250 section 1–14, page 1–12 “b. Use. The primary use of the torpedo is clearing paths through wire obstacles and heavy undergrowth. It will clear a 3- to 4-metre wide path through wire obstacles.”

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

The ability to simply deconstruct tank remains would be detrimental for the game. Both for offense and defense.

Players need to be able to use tank remains as cover, and being able to disassemble it would likely lead to players breaking down ALL tank remains just because they can. In quite a few maps, there are open areas which tank remains are the only cover available.

Additionally, until fortifications get a big revamp, tank remains are the ONLY option to seal off some of the entry points, as almost all objectives have about 8+ entry points. Sadly its also the only type of barricade that can hold back enemy vehicles as well in any capacity, as Czech Hedgehogs are able to be broken down by ANY class type.

Ultimately, fortifications are far too weak right now, and tank remains are the only source of solid cover to be used.

If I recall someone mentioned you can move tank carcasses if you put your tank on 1st gear.
How that works, ive got no fking idea.
edit: turns out it actually does work, not very fast nor practical but does work.

Anyway, even a detpack should be able to destroy the carcasses theyr just fking annoying.

Tommy’s already made something like this already but I don’t like it if it was added until the defenses have been buffed and we have more variation otherwise I do not want things like this to be added.

Did germans/ussr have these too?

I’m all for the bangalore, but it should not clear tank remains

Imagine your entire defense rely on a dick move.
