No because the difference between BR4 and BR5 right now is much larger than the difference between a potential BR5 and BR6.
The difference right now is SVTs and T-34-85s against FG-42 IIs and King Tigers. With a BR6 the difference would be AVSs and IS-2s against those same FGs and King Tigers.

So Avs is not selective fire rifle and is2 is not a heavy tank?
The IS-2 is just not good and the IS-2 1944 would be the BR6 tank. And I personally think the AVS would be best suited as a BR5 weapon if its stats were nerfed and it was changed to start in semi auto instead of full auto.
BR5 would still have select fire rifles, just ones not as good as BR6. A middle ground between the 10 round semis of BR4 and the high capacity full autos of BR6. Guns like the AVS, the M2 carbine, and the FG-42 would have their place in BR5, just weaker than they currently are if they are too prevalent.
I say adding Cold War like how they have done it to War Thunder in the past is the way to go.

There are plenty of non prototypes that could be added, there are plenty of maps that could be added, plenty of equipment that could be added, entire counties that could be added
