Tanks in Berlin are "gun meat" for infantry

You can destroy tanks anytime, anywhere, for few seconds.
TNT and panzerfausts leave them no chance, even at a great distance or behind a hillock.
Are tanks in Berlin a free exp for infantry?

For four fights today, I didn’t see any problems from them, they were just a free experience.

Historically, tanks have not worked well in cities.
But can it give them the opportunity to destroy something?Or do normal damage from machine guns (now one bullet of a machine gun causes 5 hp).Or passability?(now they get stuck on every pebble) Maybe normal speed?

Eheh when I play tanker, I automatically panic when I see a single soldier coming in my direction with a big faust sticking up his bu… back. Tanks are only good if infantry provides protection and you can keep your distance.

Often I destroy tanks with a pre fire.
I hear a tank - I go out immediately and shoot - in 50% of cases, a one shot. With German tanks, it’s a little easier, since these are square sheds.

improve the machine gun yes, that it stops stalling with anything i also agree, make them a little faster i more or less agree, but in berlin, you have to know how to move with the tank, normally i wait for my teammates to clear all the buildings and I just advance, then I look for a fight with the enemy tanks or start attacking the enemy strategic points, it lasts a regular amount of time but I support the best I can

In skillful hands against the crooked tank is good everywhere.
But, if a slightly thinking player is caught against you, then you will not be playing on the tank for long.
A mg damage increase… Yes, it makes sense, but only on city maps of Berlin (in Seelow Heights it will be too much).

I’d say yes tanks are free exp. Berlin is alot of city maps which have always been hell for tanks. Panzerfausts, AT grenades and AT guns can be anywhere at anytime. They are normally forced out of the gray zones in Berlin unlike Normandy or Tunisia giving any player with a brain and enough determination the ability to quickly nuke a tank

The grey area in Berlin is not the same as in Moscow\Normandy\Tunisia, which does not allow the tank to do anything at all.(although bot squads that do not react to tanks in any way save them somehow)

Yes exactly. I can easily run in with a panzerfaust and kill any tank even in the gray zone

You don’t have to run.
You just need to see it.

Lol true. I’ve gotten very good at long range panzerfaust attacks

Panzerfaust is the only thing gray zone campers deserve

It’s an amazing campaign to play tank VS tank.
But it’s also an amazing campaign to be destroyed in few seconds of action.

We can’t have everything

I wonder, how broken to play on a tank will be when they release the panzershrek we saw on alpha tests.

The panzerfaust can yeet a T34 or panther from 150 meters so I cant wait to become a panzershrek sniper too

Yeah, tanks are free points in Berlin, but I have fun in them for the 15-20 seconds they tend to last.

I can’t help but laugh after I get into a firing position and then see the absolute sea of red grenade icons flying at me like a ticker tape parade.

Hull mount MG would help balancing it.

don’t give me false hopes of me getting 14 kills by blind firing down a chokepooint :frowning:

It won’t have any effect at all.
I don’t think it will be much more effective than panzerfaust. And besides, if he is at level 30+, then you won’t be able to meet him often.

No. In this, the best campaign is Moscow.
Berlin is a one shot of one tank by another, regardless of the tank.
PZ 4 one shot any Soviet tank.
T34 - german (although I’m not sure about the panther).

I just hope they will do something different than “panzershreck for both factions! Copy paste, yay!” It’s becoming boring to have mirror things for both sides… give my Russians bombers rpg-43 or something nice… (I hope it will wound infantry as well if it’s that.) Or a lend lease bazooka… I’d even be happy with ptrs (just because I like breaking the Geneve convention and using it on infantry).

Everyone always says bazooka but man that thing is massively weak when compared to a panzerfaust. You’d have to be crazy to take a bazooka. Atleast the PTRS was actually in Berlin and it can mow down infantry and tracks at long range

I know I just threw a bunch of random ideas. I find it a bit boring to just give the same thing to both factions THREE TIMES… When I’m sure Russians could have goodies of their own. Or give something completely unrelated to anti tank for the Russians when the germans get the shreck. A bit like in Moscow where Russians have 2 mortars but germans 2 AT rifles. (Also since we already have faust 100… is anything else even needed?)
