So over the time I’ve been playing enlisted i’ve managed to get my tanks stuck in the most annoying places (including the big bomb craters from stalingrad airstrikes, and russian farming equipment in the Battle of Moscow). And i feel like we need some way of saving these tanks, maybe some sort of tool that lets us slightly alter/destroy the environment, or some sort of towing mechanic. But it’s just annoying to leave these tanks behind, because, they just can’t get off the spot. (Picture Context: I was trying to cross the trench to flank an Enemy Tank, and misjudged the terrain, but i feel like that tank should have been able to get out of that Trench
Yes it’s annoying when that happens, but you have to learn to avoid it. Driving over trenches at an angle or at a low speed tends to cause you to fall in. You can see trenches on the map, and if you switch to commander or even driver you can get a better view of your surroundings.
In terms of getting the tank out:
You can turn the tanks parallel to the trench and drive it until you reach the end if you’re not on Moscow.
Tunisia has proven that digging isn’t viable for dislodging vehicles.
Adding recovery vehicles would require people to play as a team.
Adding winches would require the game to have a functioning mounting system, and if the devs can’t even figure out bipods I can’t imagine them figuring that out
I agree that the solution cant be recovery vehicles, and it certainly shouldnt be a constructible for engis because they cant even be arsed to put down rally points most of the time.
I dont understand your point with tunsia as i havent played much of tunisia yet, because i dont enjoy it that much.
As for turning the tank parallel, belive me i tried, i originally was perpendicular to the trench and after like ten minutes of trying i got to the result of the picture.
Maybe an option to respawn the tank at the tank resupply point by interaction of either the tank, or the resupply point may be a solution
