Tank Optics - Adjustable Distance and Aim for Tank Sights

Have a good day!

I really like to adjust the tank optics to let’s say 500m to be ready to eliminate opponents quick and
efficiently. The red / yellow / green marker is obsolete, in my opinion. It’s to learn how to aim, but
if you’ve shot 100+ enemy tanks, you don’t need it anymore. There is a bit more realistic solution:

In these short clips (War Thunder) you can see the optical sight of the 8,8cm KwK 36 L/56 in action.

(you can also use binoculars as the commander, and measure distance - but you would learn the distance by eye-muscle-memory with time as you get used to these sights, …and just by srcolling the mouse wheel in gunner view!)

It’s useful to always have them adjusted at least to 400 meters, so you can act quick if an enemy is
in sight. This way you don’t have to lift your mouse up and down all the time, and most enemies
will appear in the distance between 300 and 600 meters anyways, I guess. So no need to have it on 0.

There is official information from WWII - the so called Tigerfibel.
It’s a comical and very informational description of everything you need to know about the Tiger tank
or Panzerkampfwagen VI. You can read it here in the web archive: Tigerfibel German

I also got a PDF of the English Version.
Click on ImgBB, where I uploaded a screenshot of about 15 pages of the English Version to read and see the Tiger Manual with translation and original drawings:

A Panther version also exists. The whole vehicle is explained and useful rhymes and comics are used so that the tank crew really knows and remembers how the weapon is used most correct and efficiantly.

About 15 pages explain how to use the Tank Optics / Sights, how to aim.

(it could be similar to the distance sights of the Panzerfaust already in the game - but more precise)

You - DarkFlow - can implement it in the game. A simple version. It’s easier to aim this way.
Make it optional. So only the one who wants more immersion gets it. Thank you for reading.

Even if you won’t use it. You could give it a heart. It would mean more fun (at least for me) if
realized in the game.

Enjoy your day!

Yes, this is a really useful suggestion. Even though there is a hit marker, it will make the game on the tank more atmospheric.

Would like to have the hitmarker removed, honestly it’s no needed anymore since we can see in the “garage” the tank’s weak points

I would explode from joy if they implemented these crosshair mechanics. In War Thunder it improves the experience so much. Plus they should make the sight zoom adjustable with mouse wheel instead of switching between min and max only.
