Since the “put out fire in tank” have been fixed as a bug
We need FPE system that can be activate in tank
Add a button to close tank engine just like plane
Then use another button (or same as inside repair) to use the FPE
After the fire have been put out, you can go out and fix your engine or start it again if possible
I fully support the idea.
I actually quite like how engine fires work at the moment, I think it makes sense that youd be unable to extinguish them from inside most of the time, ofc tank design depending as well.
Not to mention its a nice tactic for infantry with the likes of an ATR or low ammo for an AT weapon, you can disable the engine, and drive the crew out with a fire.
