Currently tank crew work as a single body and mind, the player actually control all the crew action, therefore there is a little or almost no immersion in playing as a tank so I think we can add some sort of dynamic functionality to the crew for make everything more spicy and immersive
Tank commander
If not used by The player it would talk and pin point with a marker just visible by the players, tank and infantry visible by him (so just enemy in sight no tank and infantry behind stuff or concealed in smoke)
Tank driver and loader
If the tank is stationary, not moving, and get some damage or catch fire who can be fixed from the inside, those two would automatic repair the tank
Tank machingunner
It would operate the coaxial machingun automatically if enemy soldiers come closer to the tank, are in the sight of the turret, and the players isn’t using the gunner or commander
Tank gunner
By pressing (button) the gunner is going to calculate the distance between your tank and where you are aiming, this can be useful for player using tank with howitzer instead of hypervelocity gun for long range attack
As for me, it’s great. But I’m not sure that some of the players with intelligence = average room temperature will be able to fully appreciate what you have planned. If it is difficult for them to use a hammer and build rally points.
