In my opinion the tank crew roles should be reconsidered: I noticed that when the commander is buttoned up he can only control the driving of the vehicle, making him almost useless if it wasn’t for the additional Mg on the roof. I would make the tank crew mechanics this way:
Tank commander: driving and shooting, working with both the head out of the hatch or fully buttoned up
Gunner: only shooting (making the shooting more effective when the tank is stationary, as it was in real ww2 tanks)
Driver: only driving
What about loader and radio operator (hull MG operator)?
Loader would be pretty useless as a playable tank role, hull mg gunner its not going to be implemented soon, at leas according to an enlisted tester who said me that hull mg arent in working order
I didn’t said anything about them being playable, but currently they both serve absolutely no purpose except replacing dead crewmembers.
Higher level loader doesn’t decrease main gun reloading time and radio operator doesn’t give you access to arty, comms or hull MG
yes, I would love to see working hull mgs and maybe call for arty, but as I said the hull mgs according to one testers would require huge work and money to get implemented (though I think that hull mgs would be a very nice add)
The biggest Problem is people think that ur Soldiers get better with more Stars thats not the Case ( i believe ) its only the Skills/Perks and right now only 5-6* Soldiers can have a decent Skill/Perks Combo running that you can call him " specialized " Tankdriver or Stormtrooper what ever.
And i think this is ok, just think about a 5* Tankdriver only having Runspeed - Stamina- Armsreload Perks why should he be better in driving a Tank than some1 who is maybe 2* but has Skills for Tankcontrols?
What i would like to see is that Planes get more then 1 Pilot active ( 1 Pilot+Gunners ) and Tankroles have impact on the Tankperformance like dead Radioguy no more marks for you - dead Loader more reloadtime.
In addition spread out soldier xp for all crew members. It seems as if only certain slots get soldier XP. Or at least some slots increase faster than others
Can confirm both cases.
A crewmember who is inactive will not gain XP (they are greyed out when you have a 5 men crew in a 3 men vehicle for example - 2 will be greyed out)
The Gunner gets most XP as he is getting the kills. All other crewmembers get an assist per kill (hence why your score in the scoreboard will show hundreds of assists)
