Tank Commander Hatch visibility

As a “veteran” tanker player one of the things I’m missing the most when driving a tank in the commander position is the ability to see around without having to move the turret. In some tanks like the Sherman M4A1 it was not possible since they had very limited visibility, but some others like the M4A3E2 “Jumbo” had these glasses in the hatch as well as some other openings to be able to do have a look outside. Germany and other nations used similar resources as well, and many little openings can be seen in most of the tanks.

I think it would be great to include the real visibility of these tanks in the game, it would encourage players to use the commander seat instead of the gunner most of the time.

For a number of the tanks you can look around without rotating the turret. There are different views for a given role which you can switch between using the scroll wheel. On the Panzer 4s for example in the normandy campaign, the commander is able to switch between 4 different viewports, one every 90 degrees. Sometimes gunners or drivers have alternate options as well. I don’t know if this is implemented across all tanks, but it is a feature in the game. Admittedly the animation to swap between these views is fairly slow, which limits usability a fair bit.
