Tank Balance should be catered towards Late Game not Early

I’ve seen a ton of comments saying the Tank Balance should resolve around a level 3 tank the Stuart, I think this is nonsense considering its a tank that unlocks at Level 2/3. Most players keep using the argument saying Puma is better than the Stuart which is true however once the M8 unlocks they both technically one shot each other. And Puma can be 1 shotted from the side with HE

Panzer IV J is only good at killing tank, but can be one shotted from side with HE the same as Puma and its turretg cane be disabled very easily. Easily one of the worst tank in Normandy, bad turret speed, slow base speed, bad vs infantry and even tanks too. Because by the time you try to aim at another tank, you’ll eat like 3 shots.

Level 1 and 10 is extremely easy to achieve and tank balance should not be balanced around these levels. What matters is Late Game, you can also take Mid Game to mind, but please not the level 1-10 tanks.

I play Soviets for a day and I am already Level 10 and rolling, in a few days of constant playing i would be max relatively soon.

In regards to users saying not to add the Tigers because of balance reasons. Tigers were present during Normandy and it is historical. It should not be added just because of the Lower Tier Tanks suffering. Getting past level 10 is not much trouble at all

For Balance Purpose keep Tiger 1 in Normandy, while Tiger 2 on Berlin, (Even though Tanks is kinda useless in Berlin)

I quickly take a look on the stats of Tiger H1

Meaning it can still be penned from the side and such. The role of Allies Tanks and Axis should be reversed. Because as of now on Normandy, with the Jumbo users more or less has to Flank me, instead of the US Flanking.

German tanks were known more to be slow while the US is more agile. But it seems as of now the game is the other way around. With the Jumbo i just sit in front and snipe from far, which most German tanks would have to come and flank me instead to take me out. While I can take out most of them with ease as long as I’m not playing Braindead. Which in my opinion I am playing the role of the Tiger

The argument on the Devs should balance on Early Tier Tanks is dumb, because on a Jumbo right now I can kill close to 8 Pumas before dying due to recklessness, unless I got flanked from behind which happen rarely. As the Jumbo puma is always a 1 hit from a HE shell from sides and near the front side

Obviously since the Devs already confirmed Panthers is coming on Normandy, we’ll see more balance of tanks. But until then, good day

The US would also need the M18 Hellcat, it was easily one of my favourites on Heroes and Generals and it does presents during Normandy. Unlike the Jumbo. Hellcat is amazing and the best at Flanking

If the Tigers were too hard to balance please also considering giving another Tank Slot for the US. So they can have 3 Tanks, that way we’ll have something similar to the Battle Scene during Fury, where multiple shermans take on a Tiger from the US side against Germans. And actually proves that the US has superior numbers in Tanks

And make the Tiger an insanely high level, compared to the US so its insanely rare. Possibly around level 45 or 50. So only true Veterans of the game would eventually have access to it. Just a suggestion. German tanks that should be stronger should require higher level requirements than the US counterparts. and US should have more tanks inbetween the medium and higher levels too

Whats the problem? Add Tiger to Germany and Firefly to US

Reminder: Pershing exists.

Firefly can destroy a tiger with one shot.

Anyway, I like your idea.

hello everyone it just needs to add the panther is good the Jumbo is dead especially that of foreseen it already 1 tank fighter for the campaigns axis and us “Invasion of Normandy”: armoured vehicles - News - Enlisted!

sailing the Jumbo kill will be cool

Panzerjager IV L48 fighter of - a well-known German tank. Built on the chassis of the Panzer IV, this Panzerjager offers better turning speed, and its front armor slope ricochets enemy shells quite often. Its powerful 75mm shells are capable of piercing almost any target on the battlefield.

This vehicle will be most effective in defending in one direction, while having its flanks and rear well protected from enemy fire.

wont this just result in power creep and nobody will bother using other tanks/weaponry?

Kinda like there’s ZERO point to using bolt guns once you start getting upgraded semi-autos?

IMO semi-autos and bolt guns should have enough pros and cons to warrant late and early game usage.

Same with tanks, lighter more common tanks should have some benefits that incentivize use even when tigers and pershings are available.

US side they have planned this tank
M10 tank fighter - a tank equipped with a 76 mm M7 gun. This vehicle was introduced as a result of the analysis of the action of German tanks in Western Europe. The M10 became the most produced SPG of the U.S. Army during World War II.

Perfectly suited for combat, the M10 lacked turret top protection, exposing its crew to enemy grenades and snipers.

Until we get some kind of matchmaker that would separate new players and veterans this is not dumb. What would be reaction from the new player that just got into the game and is thrown in his Stuart against a Tiger in an enemy team? Many players would just feel discouraged and simply leave.

This is not balance, this is neverending arms race, where you always have to get better and better tanks to compete. And all that come before become obsolete. That’s why I will always advocate for variety over arms race. Devs had a good chance to do that by introducing tank destroyers and other vehicles, that would offer different experience (and everybody could somehow compete, by choosing their favourite playstyle). It would be much more exciting than “give us bigger guns and more armor” over and over. But it seems that devs went for the second approach and if we ever see different vehicles they will be locked after too many levels. And here we are, with things like Jumbo, Chaffee and other “time travelers” instead of more accurate and, most importantly, different vehicles.

Oh boy you are so wrong about tiger 2 in berlin…

Even in alpha tests tiger 2 tank was such a beast that was probably the best tank experience ever on this game…

The Power Creep has always existed in this game. It was in Guns too, and Tanks.

Same with teammates wasting Tank Slots on Stuart, they need to be taught a lesson that they shouldnt go on Tanks if the enemy has Panzer IV J / H/ Panzer III N. its just feeding the enemy while I could kill all of them in a Jumbo. Not to mention as the Jumbo none of those tanks stands a chance against me unless Im Braindead.

80% of the Fights on Berlin are on infantry so i dont really see the problem in Urban Areas, Russian can get the IS-2 , SU-100 and KV–85

Not to mention all infantry has panzerfaust therre, it one shots the Panzer IV J very easily
