Ok so this is going to be a very controversial topic but stay with me now. In WW2 some tanks had radios and these radios could contact other tanks and artillery, so what I think they should do is give some tanks the ability to call it it, I’m gonna list some things about it to give y’all an idea on how this’ll work.
- Your tank needs to have a Radio to even call Artillery.
- there must be a man in the seat of where the artillery would be called from (on German tank the MG seat)
- this artillery CAN be called in as the same time as normal Artillery.
- the radius of this artillery will be decently smaller then normal artillery
- it takes double the amount of time to call it in at a beginning of a match, when you spawn in the tank, and after calling it in.
The amount of shells that’ll be fired on the point will be a smaller about.
These are things they could do to make it somewhat balanced but that’s what I got for now! If you have any other ideas that could help this, let me know!

I would like to see this feature with command variants of each tank, for example the TT Jagdpanther we have atm, give a good reason to use it other than for larp over the KTH.
And double the standard recharge time for the second barrage so 2x five minutes equals 10 minutes
No you said double the call in time at the beginning of a match
The spawn time for artillery when you spawn you first radio in a squad is ten seconds
But I also wanted to make it clear it needs to be twice the base time as radio squads can upgrade to a call in time of 2 minutes
As the way you phrased it was rather convoluted
Ok a 10 minute call in for tank artillery strange but fair

8 minutes. Regular radio is 4 minutes. Radio squad gets 2 minutes.
And the start of match delay is 30 seconds.
On regular spawns it’s 10 seconds.
All my squads generally have a radio in them so why should tank radio’s be slower?

because its a major upgrade i guess you could just move up any tank that gets a radio one br so a sherman with a radio would go to br4, radio men are vulnerable when calling in a strike tanks are not, also he wants tank radios to be on a separate cooldown from infantry radio so its more then fair.
I think this could be an interesting feature, but only on faster, lighter scout vehicles like the AB-41, Sd.Kfz. 234/2, Daimler Armored Car, M8 LAC, and Ke-Ni (only thing I could think of for Japan, it’s their fastest tank). None of the heavier, more well armed tanks with bigger guns need any more HE spam potential - they can already nuke objective enough as is - but it could be a neat feature on certain lighter and less well armed tanks.

It would depend if they have a radio or not, and on bigger vehicles they can make the wait time longer
For that reason, it’s better to include reconnaissance vehicles with machine guns or small cannons that can use radios.
It would be something new (an issue that half of this forum complains about). They’d add more vehicles, and above all, they’d add a new way of playing. It could be alongside the TT APC so you could choose between the APC or the reconnaissance vehicle, because the radio in tanks was mostly used to communicate with other tanks, at least that’s what I think. That way, they’d include more vehicles that are specifically for combating infantry, with heavy machine guns or small cannons (20 or 23 mm).
Well I disagree they should be on a separate cooldown. And a tank calling in an arty would be just as vulnerable being a big spottable sitting duck while you look at the map. And thus not have vision outside as to what infantry might be coming to TNT your big metal behind. Sitting in the back and calling it in you are just as vulnerable as a radio squad sitting back also to call in a strike.
It’s not that much of an upgrade really.
What SHOULD be on separate call ins is Bombers and Artillery. Because I have a laundry list of complaints the amount of times I could have dropped a perfect arty strike but couldn’t because dumbass mcgee called in bombers 5 minutes ago and they still haven’t arrived yet even though we lost the point one minute after he called it in.
The enemies tho, should totally call in more airstrikes, my planes need the free XP.
It would all depend on whether that vehicle came with a Radio or not, also for bigger tanks, they can just make the timer long, that way it’s harder for them to call on their artillery.
