Even though I am Russian, I can see Russian bias in this being over 9000.
These two machines are indestructible each on their own, and with 2 sweaty players with premium accounts and additional vehicle squads playing nothing but T-28 ‘№2’ → T-50 ‘camo’ → T-28 → T-28 ‘№2’ even if some poor infantry manages to blow them up, it’s just unplayable.
I don’t care about faction-specific bias or anything really, it can be any faction in any campaign, but just the fact that you can launch the game and spend 16-20 bucks to have the two most deadly tanks in the game is just absurd.
If it’s a strategy to make me go buy the counter (Pz III J ‘624’ in this case), it is equally shady.
Premiums/gold order vehicles should be unique and fun (I have BA-11, why did I even bother buying by today’s standards, but at least it’s fun) but not blatantly OP, unleashing suffering on all f2p players.

Unless I’m missing something, you do understand that you need to have those said vehicles unlocked in the campaign before you can get their gold counterparts, right? It’s not technically pay 2 win because you need to unlock those vehicles in the campaign first, and then you get a cool new skin for them.
No. Because on some campaigns like Normandy you have different tanks with different roles. You have Scout tanks such as the M5 and Puma, Infantry support tanks such as the M8 and Panzer III N, and Medium tanks such as the Panzer IV and Sherman. All of the above serve different roles. So if you want one tank for fighting tanks and another for fighting infantry, why deny a player the choice to take both? After all, if tanks were too limited, my AT gunner squads would be useless.
EDIT: Also, comparing the tanks in Enlisted to the tanks in War Thunder is like comparing apples to oranges. In War Thunder, you don’t fight against infantry. You only fight against other tanks and the occasional airplane. You also have 3rd person view. In Enlisted, you do not have 3rd person view. So you are essentially blind to your surroundings unless you have your commander pop his head out, which leaves him vulnerable and exposed to enemy fire.
In short, tank gameplay in Enlisted is more immersive and different than in War Thunder and tbh, I enjoy tank gameplay in Enlisted more than War Thunder.
You can’t actually cylcle through the tanks like that. The gold order versions use the same squad and thus squad slot as the standard version. So its not possible to bring two t28s into a game, you have to choose between camo or not. The only thing that makes the gold order vehicles advantagous is that it lets you have a fully upgraded one right off, and for the t-50 it lets you have a strong tank immediately. Those are both nice to have, but they are only a progression change. A theoretical high level player out to abuse them doesn’t get anything extra out of it.
That then has nothing to do with the camo varients, I don’t think you can actually buy gold order vehicles directly, and instead need to work through the battlepass for them, and even if you could, that is only relevant for the t50. The t28 can’t be used until you’ve grinded through the progression tree, or payed through the nose for each level on its own. If you want to talk about “OP P2W”, they really aren’t reasonable targets. You could talk about the valantine, which has about twice the armor of the T28 and actually is premium only, costing about $50. Of course, I’ve never seen or used one, so I have no clue how good the thing is.
I believe what the op tried to say is:
“Being able to unlock any best vehicle without grind for something as easy to obtain as a gold order is absurd”
About this I agree. They removed the “grind” factor that limited most powerful vehicles and made them semi rare. In Moscow the most common vehicles aren’t pz2 or t60 anymore, they are gold order t50 and gold order pz3.
Yeah exactly, T-50 Camo is 8 bucks, T-28 No.2 will be 8 bucks within a couple of days too (when the new BP drops).
Yes you need to grind for the T-28 crew but it’s just absurd how strong of a lineup that is when there are two T-50s or T-50 + T-28 both fully upgraded for 16 bucks against Pz IIs and IIIs.
Why would anyone bother with using BT-5 or T-26 when you can get the machine of doom T-50 for a price of two beers.
Russian players probably feel the same when they are facing Panzers III J and Panzers IV in their T-60 or T-26.
Panzer IV may not be available from the Battlepass yet (I think it will come with the new BP in few days), but even without full upgrade it is definetely superior to the T-28.
Especially in Normandy you have zero reasons to take anything else than the Panther and the Jumbo respectively. Also being able to spawn constantly in a tank aka having 3 tank squads is just lame design. Clubbing infantry with tanks is fun for some people but shouldnt be encouraged
you can cycle through tanks and actually being the whole game in one if you have 1-2 techtree tank squads and 1+ premium tank squad. Shitty design and P2W sometimes like with the premium Jumbo but it exists.
You may not believe it. I already have a lot of repeated and identical tank skins. If you add gold coupons to tanks and airplanes, there will be more.
This is really too bad. I really don’t understand the attractiveness of the skin vehicle. I would rather they add a fragile GAZ AA air defense truck than another skin vehicle.
