On the assumption that they will use models and ballistics out of WT, then the 50L42 will reliably pen the turret cheeks of the T-34 (1940) at <500m, the 50L60 will do it even easier. The font ofcourse is a challenge and the T-34 can one shot the German tank in return via any point in the centre of the seen mass. Angling might help, but I know what you mean.
It will be a bit more challenging but in the chaos of a typical game it still comes down to who sees who first which is a good thing imo.
I wouldn’t have an issue with it, and as one of the other posters mentioned if the PzIV E gets its Hl.Gr 38C then it will work itself out in game. The HEAT round reliably pens T-34s frontally in WT.

use the Armour Pen checker they have in WT, if you’re taking screenshots you might as well use that. That’s what I’ve been using to check things at various angles.
The 50mm is viable at the Enlisted ranges of <500m, you have to aim, but its viable.
The T-34 will be very powerful no doubt, but if they give the PzIVE its heat round then all will be fine, it will come down to who sees who first.

You can get away without it, even the APCR will not penetrate the T-34 (1940) hull frontally at <500m
They will ricochet off more than bite into the sloped armour or just shatter. Not that WT passes for anything realistic, but its ok, and most ppl only use APCR on flat armour where possible. T-34 is probably the worst offender in game as far as bouncing shots goes
The HEAT round from the PzIV is solid though, most reliable T-34 killing round at that BR.
So for this motive i want know wy they place germany (wo is a fusion between the 4 germany released) and not italy in tunisia they add brithish commowealth so wy not add italy to work? To lazy? The dev think only germany figth in ww2 for the axis side?
