I have yet to see a discussion about these two rifles where the SVT has been my main stay rifle for my elite squads who can’t use the PPD-40 or DP-27 while my snipers armed with SVT-40s. Forgotten Weapons did have a video firing this gun irl so I have some idea on how this rifle actually kicks especially in full auto.
SVT-38 is great semi auto rifle even though you can’t reload it with stripper clips midclip in the game. I have tried shooting the AVS-36 at practice where I noticed the recoil is much higher than the SVT and the full auto should only be reserved for point blank ranges because how hard to hit a damn thing at range in full auto. Semi auto though I need some time to use the gun more but it seems another SVT with higher recoil with the external look like an SKS(same designer) plus the 15 round magazine is a plus even though 10 is already good enough for a semi auto rifle…
I would like to hear some opinions about these rifles and I have yet to shoot an FG42 though.

Automatic rifles like the fg42 restricted like in places like nor.nady not sure about Berlin but ithink se should happen they with these guns due their ability to turn into mg with a flip of a switch and I don’t think it’s healthy for everyone to have em

Yeah, get one with a large ammo bag and you can also check by looking the gun stats it must be saying semi and full auto

I suggest using it in CQ and on large close rnage packed groups don’t remember how the reocil is though
Yeah AVS-36 is automatic but impractical to use full auto. Forgotten Weapons even said that the AVS-36 has no business to be full auto because strong recoil.
AVS is defaulted to semi auto but you can switch to full if you want to.
AVS has less horizontal recoil than svt38, and it has automatic mode 2-3 rounds to kill one guy which is very powerful in building/close range.
