Really happy to find it in the folder but no sure whether germans can have it in the future. But it would be a good news if we can since many of us who play germany really suffered from PPD(even if you have MG34) for a long time.
Been pointed out before, it may be a unique unit for the Germans, but nobody really knows.
I could even be a winter war campaign plan as the PPD/PPSH took inspiration from the Suomi

There are a lot of hints within the gear and artwork that point to them at least having considered a Finnish campaign. Suomi is one, artwork that seem to show Finnish mosins with the distinctive front sights is another.
There is also one finnish LMG in the files (don’t remember the name now). I really hope that they are for future Winter War campaign instead another weird weapon choices for Germany.
The use of SMGs on the Soviet side almost been set aside until the Winter War when they encountered Finland’s usage of SMGs and saw how useful they are so they revived the SMG program. PPSh only came out because PPD like the Suomi is expensive to make where they need something cheaper and easier to produce especially in huge numbers.
I think I was getting confused with the PPD/PPSh taking the Suomi’s drum as inspiration, but yes’ the Soviets did infact pretty much suspend their sub machine gun stockpile.
