I’ll keep this short.
Tanks are counterable. Infantry and grenades are counterable. A plane hell-bent into diving into the ground unleashing it’s entire ordnance landing 25 kills is not counterable.
Suggestions:
Point system similar to WT where you are forced to play ground to get points for 1 aircraft spawn. amount of points depends on the aircraft. Once you lose the plane then you need points again, rather than cycling one squad and proceeding to dive-bomb into the earth for the 5th time in the match
“Lock” the plane if the player keeps suicide bombing - instead of the normal ~2 minute cooldown, lock it for 6 -8 minutes instead
Reduce points heavily for crash-bombing
This entire playstyle is killing a lot of matches.

i really think that in order to eliminate plane spam, the plane squad should be deployed far away, and the pilot is required to get in the plane himself, then take off, and fly to the location and then do the bombing and whatnot.
and of course the resupply location wouldn’t be somewhere in the middle of the sky, but rather back at the base, so the time between bombing would be increased massivly.
this would most definetly stop people from just plunging into the dirt after spending all the ammo and bombs.

I have thought that being able to land and repair your plane would be great
But I doubt that the proposed suggestions will stop suciciding planes if one of the reasion players are suciding is that they feal the interval is to long to bother rearming
AA is the obvious counter to the sucicid plane, it is way easier to shoot down planes now, and I am seeing more and more AA guns being used now
well, if the long interval doesn’t work then in my opinion the player should go through 2 rounds of all the squads before he’s able to use the plane squad again.
my squads are all equipped with FG42 II’s, funnily enough if you dump your 20 round mag into the cockpit, there’s a chance that you’d kill the pilot, in many cases it worked for me. but in others it just counted the plane kamikaze suicide as my kill

Ya if you tag the plane you get the kill, I got a kill on an IL 2 yesterday with a bomb I dropped with my HS 123
I started that match in the HS 123 and flew it the entire match shooting down two planes and getting 88 kills in total
I do like flying it always surprises me to see players auger
Tank camping VS Plane suiciding

it can also promote it more because people are too lazy to fly back to base
current issues ?
M8 atomic rockets
lack of players (understandable)
bots have ranks
unfinished premium squads that costs like fine blowjob from pretty prostitute
G41 reloading still shit (weapon which is in like 5 or 6 premiums that costs more than 40 bucks and other weapons with same mechanics still suffer from this problem that was addressed gazilion of times )
gray zone wanking unemployed no-lifers that play slot machines on daily basis while camping
interesting stuff locked behind paywall which in comparison to this the campaign stuff is shit
cheers
i was at awe when i saw a KV1 grayzoning, like wtf does he got to fear he has the best armored tank in the entire game and hes greyzoning.
i think the best solution to greyzoning is to just simply prevent players from throwing or firing or knifing anything or anyone until they exit the greyzone. entering grayzone wont protect them, it’d just screw them up because the enemy would be able to shoot and kill them but they wouldnt be able to.
yeah i assessed the g41 reload in my topic, i’ve died many times because when i wanted to reload from 5 rounds, id load in 10 and when the animation is halfway finished is when i die. (btw i noticed that the g41 reloads as if it has a box magazine, basically if you got 5 rounds in the gun, those 5 rounds will with some magic dissapear from the gun and the new 10 rounds will somehow fit in the gun)

basically it is reloading animation from trench kar98
yeah and not only is it unrealistic, it also costs you your life on the battlefield

This.
Suicide bombing is just a counter to Grey area camping.
I can live with that until Grey area camping is fixed.
except most of the time it isn’t.
How it normally goes:
Spawns Plane
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Need Enemy Coordinates!
Crashes
When you get on the plane, but no one of your teammates reports the target point…QAQ (this is really hopeless because it is difficult for the plane to easily find the infantry on the ground, especially in some complex urban terrain)
The current game mechanism is that the player gets on the attack plane and uses bombs and rockets to destroy the enemy’s tanks and a large number of infantry, after that…
The first option is to live and turn around to the supply point to prepare for another round of bombing.
The second option is suicide, which can give other players a chance to board the attack aircraft quickly (saving the supply time).
To be honest, many players hope to launch the airport on the ground to provide aircraft supplies (but it may make landing more difficult!),
I think we can give extra points to the aircraft for replenishment, and try our best to ensure that it is better for players to keep the aircraft alive than to destroy themselves

im wondering, cant maps have any sort of improvised landing strips?
it would prove to be exceptionally useful, especially if the improvised landing strip is turned into a actual makeshift airport, this would fit the theme of desperation in some maps like berlin, or normandy, or tunisia.
Not really. I can see infantry/shell tracers and often go on gun runs saving my rockets for tanks
aircraft replenishment via airfield would be useful yes, but it might also straight up promote suicide bombing more because they’re too lazy to land, which is why an extended squad lock is a better option so that they can’t board the aircraft faster. At least if they get killed by an enemy, a pilot has actually gotten a kill rather than them getting hit once and diving into the ground resulting in a “killed themselves” no-kill situation.
