Suggestions regarding German progression tree in Normandy campaign

I have couple of remarks regarding the German progression tree in Normandy… the last tank division that we have to unlock it’s proper name is 503rd heavy tank battalion and not the artillery regiment+ also in the same division the last tank we have to unlock should be the Tiger 1 since it’s reasonable that the 503rd heavy tank battalion have the tiger 1 as their standard issue choice for this division to make it fair for the Germans because the Americans have their Sherman jumbo in which it’s armed with a powerful 76mm cannon that can punch through even the tiger armor so it’s logical to change Panzer IV H to tiger one and let Panzer IV H to be in the place of Panzer IV variant J so the tree would start as follows:
1- first thing the puma SDKFZ 2- secondly the Panzer III tank 3- then Panzer IV variant H AND NOT J 4- and finally the tiger 1 This is the logical sequence of progressing in the German tree of Normandy campaign

The Tiger shouldn’t be added and the Jumbo should be removed for the same reason: neither were there in Normandy, at least not that the US encountered.

Why a Tiger if you have the Puma? Shitty hitboxes are way better than armour.

both the tiger 1 and 76mm shermans weren’t common sights on the battlefield, with most tigers being on the eastern front. and even then the shermans weren’t used for anti tank duties those would be reversed for your tank hunters like m10 and m18

I noticed a few things on all the trees that kinda shocked me most notably on the german normandy campaign tree they go super heavy anti infantry compared to the US counterpart i mean i get an fg42 (albeit 2 variants of fg42s) vrs a BAR but then you get mg34s and mg42s and the US gets an upgraded BAR im like come on wheres the M1919 and things the US would actually use in a heavy weapons squad but i mean im also shocked at how the panzerfuast and panzershreck didnt work there way in tree its also weird about how the US uses the PIAT im no historian but im pretty sure that the PIAT was not really used by the US at all they had the M9 bazooka (and its variants) and thats pretty much all they used. It will be interesting to see how this all works out as i havent messed with the sturmpistol so i dont know how effective that is so if thats bad Normandy Germans will have to make the most out of there vehicles to counter the US vehicles and the US will have to worry when german players finally get those heavy MGs and FGs how to counter them and not get there squads slaughtered

For your information if you think the jumbo and tiger weren’t involved in Normandy then think again, even the Tiger II tank was introduced in Normandy as it was introduced into service in 1944 so they have either two choices, either they add the tiger to make it fair for Germans or or removing the jumbo and that’s it nothing more than that I would request more and you guys have to understand the history as it’s a historical game

Jumbo has the same gun as the M4A2, so not long 76mm.

The Tiger wouldn’t be good to add because of its heavy armour, very powerful gun and its large size.
Also iirc there was only one or two Tiger I on the US front in Normandy. Tho there were more on the British and Canadian fronts.

Personally I think the Jumbo should be removed, because of its un-historicality and OPness

allied normandy is meant to be all the allies which is why you get ross rifles, stens, and the PIAT. hopeful the m1 bazooka (not m9) will come into the game at some point, and the BAR was historically used as a portable MG and i’m not sure about 1919

i would rather they put in a Panther (i dont know why but Panthers where sexy af to me) then a tiger 2 i mean at that point you might as well put Pershings in if tiger 2s got mixed in because technically they where introduced at the end of the war

you also have to think where the tigers were most common as well as game balance, since all tigers were commonly found on the eastern front where russia had the is-2, also america’s answer to the tigers was the m1 bazookas and the tank destroyers like again m18 and m10. with the pershing being too late to be useful

also the jumbo in game has the same 75 as the usual shermans

Its just one of those thing where unless a british squad armed with PIATs died and somehow the US was like oh piece of candy and took it i doubt they would be standardly equipped with said guns i mean even the thompson didnt make its way in (yet i hope) and it was iconic in normandy

no it’s just to reflect the fact that there is 5 different landings, 1 being commonwealth forces, 2 being british, and 2 being american which again why sten guns, lee eins, the ross rifle and the PIAT are in the hands of americans in the game

False, jumbos weren’t used until later in the war, and the US didn’t encounter tigers anywhere in Normandy.

and if you want to be historical then the germans don’t gets any tanks since there was no german tanks on d-day, with them being held in land, while the allies had tanks landing mostly in the british beaches

i get where your coming from but at the same time your not playing as the british or the commonwealth your playing as the US armed forces.

what would you say now ?

that reads june 8th, while most of the fight takes place on june 6th

It’s still Normandy campaign not another place

“around” Normandy, and the few that were actually there were fought by the british, not the US.

It’s somewhat well known that a lot of tanks near Normandy were held in reserve and didn’t participate in the fighting because the Germans thought D day was a distraction from a separate invasion.
