I need to look into it more but right now I’ve seen that mg42 could only use a 50 drum or the 250 box so the encampment mg42 should have the 250 round while handheld should use 50 round
They had 50 rounds non-disintegrating metallic-link belts that could be likned together. So in theory you could have 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 etc. From what I have found “the most popular” ones were 50 and 250 but sometimes other lenghts are also mentioned.
(In theory you could have even 1000 rounds belt but it’s impracticall as you have to change barrel every 200-300 shots anyway.)
That would be cool though an increase of ammo count should provide some drawbacks like maybe dealing less damage because gamism
I made a sugestion about adding 250 round belts for hand healed MGs. In short they would cause you to not be able to run with them equiped, not be able to shoot if not bipoded and increased chance to malfunction (when we had them) when you moved with them for too long.
Ammo box as an item to equip. This would allow MG gunner to switch between 50 round belt and 200-300 round belt when the gun is bipoded. When soldier would like to walk with long belt loaded he will be unable to run because of hanging belt, maybe also have lower walk speed. Also there would be higher chanse of mallfucntion because of dirt on the belt. I don’t think it would cause any problems if implemented. I would prevent MG gunners from owning it because they already carry heavy gun.
(Some ideas changed over the time.)

That seems fair though the lack of running be applied even if you have your knife drawn this should be applied to weapons in general

I can only think of PPSh-2 for USSR when it comes to Battle Pass stuff.
There are far better weapons to give Germans in Berlin, for example:
The StG 45(M) (abbreviation of Sturmgewehr 45, "Assault Rifle 45") sometimes referred to as the MP 45(M), was a prototype assault rifle developed by Mauser for the Wehrmacht at the end of World War II, using an innovative roller-delayed blowback operating system. It fired the 7.92×33mm Kurz (or "Pistolenpatrone 7.9mm") intermediate cartridge at a cyclic rate of around 450 rounds per minute.
The origin of this rifle can be traced back to the final years of World War II when Mauser engineers at t...
(there is footage of the 12th SS Panzerdivision Hitlerjugend using the MG 131 as a infantry carried weapon)
The Wimmersperg Spz ("Sp" stands for STEN-pistole, "z" for zweiteilig. English: Sten pistol, made of two parts) was a family of German assault rifles that was in the planning stage during the latter days of Nazi Germany.
The overall weapon is largely made up from Sten Mk II submachine gun components (which the Germans copied as Gerät Potsdam), most notably the receiver and buttstock. The magazine and magazine release are from the StG-44, and so were the barrel blanks. There were three variants d...
Grossfuss Sturmgewehr was a prototype assault rifle designed during World War II by Kurt Horn at the Grossfuss company (Metall- und Lackwarenfabrik Johannes Großfuß) better known for their contribution to the German arsenal made with the MG 42.
In the closing stage of the war, nine of the Grossfuss Sturmgewehr prototypes were captured by the advancing Red Army; five of these were found at the Kummersdorf testing site. These guns were given the name "Avtomat Horn" (Horn assault rifle) in the Sovi...
(would be amazing for close quarter)
The MG39 Rh was a general-purpose machine gun of German origin.
It originated from a draft specification and contest held for an MG 34 Einheitsmaschinengewehr replacement that was better suited for mass production. Three companies were asked in February 1937 to submit new designs: Metall und Lackierwarenfabrik Johannes Großfuß AG of Döbeln, Rheinmetall-Borsig AG of Sömmerda, and Stübgen AG of Erfurt. The designs and mock-up guns proposals were submitted in October 1937. Großfuß AG's entry proved...
