Dont use mortar, this squad need a huge rework, at this state is usless in most situation withaut some wo do the spotter, you simply fire blindly

What is MP ?

Just say what is optinal soldier for mortar for you

Assaulter, anyway uou are wasting uour time using them

Killed more than 300 with them in one week. And I dont think your skill issues bothers me

300 in a week lmao i do 300 in 3 hour, with a BA

Not all my 4 squad consist of mortars you know ?

Still 300 kill with them in a week are to poor, statistically you dont even kill 10 guy with them at every match, and you talk about my skill issue lmao

Well its very basic. You use mark distance or objective distance as reference and and bomb 10-20 metre radius around that place. If you still think this need rework you have skill issue or need new glasses

Maybe bcs i played around 20 matches or less. Since our midterm exams are near and i dont have too much time. No, it was 15-20 per match and 3 vehicles.

For me, Mortars (Pacific) don’t have enough rounds to fire off before having to reload. It doesn’t allow for proper adjustment with distance markers and aiming. Reloading also sucks as appears, you only get one Ammo load per Ammo Box built. My engineer’s run around building Ammo Boxes in support of two Mortars for limited results in the end. I think Devs have made Mortars ineffective in comparison to other weapons and they need to revisit otherwise as they are, Mortar Squads are a waste of time in a quick game like Enlisted.

My mortar squad has only 2 mortar guys and 2 engineers for maximum ammo box reload.

well, it’s depend from the campaign.

i usually either go with 2 assaulters and one engy, ( berlin - stalingrad)

one engy, one assaulter and one bomber/at gunner ( normandy - berlin - pacifc )

two engy, one sniper ( moscow - pacific )

mostly due to the sizes of the map, and weaponary.

rule of thumb is ( at least for me), if the campaign does not have ( or i haven’t unlocked it yet ) panzerfausts/bazookas any effective launcher instead of anti tank rifles, i’d be better off without them.

snipers, to be fair, they are fun, but not suitable for all campaigns.
( even though i started to use them in normandy on the mortar because i have unlocked the fg II which it’s fun to use ( and accurate within the squad )

any other loadouts i wouldn’t normally use them. ( for example having the artillery man. too few ammo for it’s primary, and only HE barrage. if he had smokes available, then it was another thing. but without it, it’s a no from me )

( what about tunisia? effe tunisia. ain’t gonna catch me playing that. ( unless PVE will be a thing )

MP = machinepistoles = SMGs assault weapons → Assaulters

I tend to use my Mortar squad as a 7 man infantry squad that can also on occasion lob grenades onto the enemy.

With that in mind, its usually 2 Mortar, 2 Eng, 2 Assault (IIRC, I could have the research tree messed up in my head) and 1 Rifleman.

If I get an attacking map, great, deploy and bomb the point. If its a defensive map, deploy and shoot or bomb at targets of opportunity.

What would make Mortars great, is a psudeo almost 3rd party view of where they are launching, and if they allowed us to have smoke rounds.

Smoke rounds alone would almost triple their efficiency.

My mortar squad has the mortarman plus 2 engineers both with the building material perk and filled in with rifleman. I build 3 boxes at a time twice and then 2 on 1 engineer, total of 16 reloads.
I start range at the cap and move a little right and left till reload them move it out 20 to 30 meters and right to left rinse repeat, unless I get some good marks which almost never happens.
