Suggestion to make Medic class more impactful/fun

As has been mentioned this game is jussst a bit to fast with the TTK and downing mechanic to make medics “impactful” to a game. I was thinking how can the snail make them more impactful to a game but not battlefield gimmicky?

So I got to thinking why not add a skill tree where medics have an aoe effect maybe like idk 15-25-something meters where soldiers around gain a % increase to being downed rather than ded. The effect can’t stack with other medic squads aoe but takes the greatest effect if multiple. Then you can add some perks/squad upgrades to medics based around that aoe (maybe like faster downed crawling or longer bleed out time?)

Think it would be fun and not like just adding the universal down bleed out or something that wouldnt negate being shot ded-ded mechanics but give more use for medics other than the small chance at getting someone to be revived and just topping off health on players.

Also should add indicators for bleeding out teammates where a medic is.

Could be cool to test something like this at least? What do you guys think?

honestly no one would have the time to revive a downed soldier cause they would already be double tapped before you can revive them, from what i have experienced the sole purpose of the medic is to provide medkit box and heal solders that were injured indicated by the + sign on top of said injured soldiers

Explosions and soldiers who die won’t “double tap” if they are dead or out of LOS

I really like this idea, the Aoe affect chance of being downed sounds great. This and an AI medic revive where medics automatically revive downed players.

Not a bad idea, and I think it could work in the current dynamic meta !

I think the downed AOE aspect is particularly good, and I think that if you’re in the AOE, rather than extending the bleed counter, your soldier goes into bandage mode, and perhaps the medic could provide the effect of health regeneration over time equivalent to the health regeneraion out of combat perk. It would stack nicely with the ability to run around and apply medpacks directly.

Or at least make it a soldier order by selecting a medic and sending them to help. I always enjoy things that make the skill ceiling higher and having the AI take the time to revive would be helpful
