Suggestion to change US Bomber in Pacific Campaign

Hi all.

I would like to suggest a change of bomber planes from A-20G-25 to PBM-3 “Mariner”.

PBM-3 can have 100 lb bomb as well, but at least PBM-3 doesnt have any armor, soo unlike A-20 it can be easier shot down by Japanese planes. Right now Japanese bombers can be easily wiped out by Buffalo, but Zeros cant even really do damage to A-20 thanks to its armor.
I was looking in WT for best counterpart to G4M and imo Mariner is best plane as counterpart, no armor, just same as G4M and can have same loadout. Only real downside for Mariner is speed, its 100 km/h slower than G4M, but as A-20 is now faster and better i think it would make thinks more balanced than it is now. Also all of its guns are 50.cals and those are just better than anything G4M can have. It also fits theatre and era.

the a-25 is the dauntless dive bomber btw, A-20 is the callable bomber

Right, my bad, gonna change it now. nd when we talk about A-25, that should be in Tunisia instead of Dauntless.

technically both should be there as USS ranger was in the area just before tunisia started but left on the 12th of november when casablanca fell to american forces

Yeah you are right, but i meant it more like that 523rd Bomber Sq. we have in Tunisia did actually have A-24 Dauntless, but funny thing, they did not use them in Tunisia, as they already had A-20 and A-36 Apaches by then.

At least they could re-skin it to Torch camo, not like they did not change Pacific one’s camo.

Just different skin, model is same.

Replace the Axis bombers with H6Ks or H8Ks as well, give both sides flying boats because that would be cool.

Also, replace the Normandy Allies bomber with either the B-25 or B-26 because the Wellington is both horribly underpreforming and is historically innacurate.

True, that would work nice too, i think H6K has similar loadout like PBM-3.

Absolutely forgot about Well’s in Normandy as i didnt really played it lately. But arent there Well’s because Germans have only He-111 H-6 i think? Both of those are pretty balanced against each other, but both are inaccurate. Imo Germany should have Do-217 E-2 vs US B-26.

It’s ironic because in Tunisia they add an American bomber, but in Normandy they add a British bomber

The Germans get Ju 188s in Normandy for their air strike.

Do they? I trough i was shoting down Heinkels, most likely just remember wrong.

Edit: It was like i remember Normandy Radio squad calls He-111 so Wellington makes sence balance wise.

Actually this is from the enlisted site

The weaponry, soldier’s uniform, appearance and capabilities of the vehicles in the game are in line with historical facts

It dont say nothing about historical usage but only on weapon and veichle capabilities, SO the ship was never build

And i know enlisted get his historical accurate phase spammed even by dev but is ended im more happy with this change of course

But is only my opinion

Imo why not have unhistorical guns, i will rather have more of them and play with every single funny prototype gun than have 6 same weapons all over again.
