Suggestion: Select army for either side in Custom Game

Hello! I would like to make a suggestion about the custom games.

I think we should have an option to select a specific army we would like either side in a custom game to use. Say, if I wanted to make a game where Berlin Soviets fight Normandy Americans, currently I would have to select mixed armies, but then Germans can play with Soviets and Soviets can play with Americans. What if I just want Soviets vs Americans? I think there should be an option to choose.

Also, I don’t think that limiting the bots to 2 helped at all. Bots are essential for a game’s longevity when it has a niche playerbase, such as this game. A bot mode like there was previously was absolutely incredible and genuinely the best feature I have seen in any recent game. I can understand that exploitation was a problem but that is an issue to be solved elsewhere. In the meantime you should have just taken the exploited maps out of rotation, fixed their navmeshes, then reintroduced them. This way, players are compensated for bugtesting with the xp they gain from the broken matches and you have a reliable way to troubleshoot problems with ai pathing and map balance.

I approve bots change as people shouldnt be able to abuse and grind like this.
If they want to give regular PVE then fine, but make it balanced somehow.

but the idea of having ONLY soviets vs ONLY usa is great and you have my vote

The bot change forces long wait times for games to fill up. This game wasn’t built for that, the bot change simply killed custom games.

I agree but from what I have read, it seems that when people get crazy amounts of kills its because the bots bug out in the geometry. I haven’t seen it myself but in my opinion if they’re getting stuck in map areas then the problem isn’t the custom match system, its with the maps.

Also, pertaining to PVE balance, as far as I can tell, we already get less xp from bot kills because when I get similar match results with players compared to bots I get less xp from the bots. This might just be because tank kills are included though?

I actually enjoyed the bots-only games; being able to play in a fight that’s solely infantry on both sides was FUN! Without the constant barrage of explosives and planes gets old.
